My first published fiction.
Thanks to Altered Reality Mag for giving my story a home on their site.
I hope the ending doesn’t disappoint.

Not to mention all the scams associated with AI. At this point, with how much AI has poisoned shops like Amazon, it feels like sifting through a mountain of trash, hoping to find a diamond. I feel bad for the indie authors that get buried just so some AI bro can make a quick buck.
I've noticed lots of AI in the author/writer space. Maybe it's just me, but if I see anything AI next to an author, I avoid them like the plague. If you're fine using AI in your covers or ads, how do I know you actually wrote the book yourself? #writingcommunity 📚🪐📚🩸
I've been wondering about this for a while. I've seen it pop up all over Bluesky author pages and wondered what the deal was. Feels like a scam to me. When I checked the site, most, if not all, the top books had AI-generated covers. Now I know to keep my distance.
I'm not beating the poet allegations.
(Another poem from my poetry class.)

I’ve been working on a screenplay for one of my classes (more comedic leaning) and the dead silence waiting for any sign that it actually made someone laugh is nerve-wracking. Thankfully, people seemed to like it, but it always makes me second-guess myself.

Found a new app called SnipFic that I’ve been writing on. Here’s yesterday’s prompt that I took a crack at. I’ll try my best to stick with the daily prompts.

My grandfather, rest in peace, had a strong influence on my taste in media. His TV was a 24h Tom and Jerry or Friday the 13th machine. That's what first got me into horror and comedy. And Samson, in my gorilla story, was heavily inspired by him, practically one-to-one, cigarettes and all.
Four favorite films (currently): 📽️
Robocop (1987)
Batman Forever (1995) (yes, really)
The Thing (1982)
Mississippi Burning (1988)
By no means are these the best films ever made, but each one has influenced the way I write, for better or worse.

Very much my kind of movie. I was worried at first since having a movie in one room could be tough, and this was Markiplier's first movie, but he was able to stick the landing. There were some issues with unclear dialogue at points, but I loved the ending and can't wait for the physical release.
Finally get to see Iron Lung in theaters. And I can’t wait for the Odyssey and Supergirl. #IronLung #Markiplier #Movies #Horror #SciFi
A small cabin on the edge of nowhere just as the sky begins to glow with the light of a new day. A canoe sits on the shore as the star’s splatter in the sky.

“Misty Woods”, an 18”x24” oil painting of a dark, closed-in forest with breaks of sunlight and fog. Streaks of light shine through the dense canopy as a small, hidden feline watches the surroundings from a safe enclosure.
Oil painting of a pond on 18"x24" canvas. A golden sky shines over mountains and a tranquil pond, with trees in brown, orange, and red.
“Sunset Falls”, an 18”x24” oil painting of a sunset over a waterfall, with a stream cutting through a sunlit forest and heavy shadows.
18”x24” oil painting of an autumn forest, in hues of yellow, orange, red and brown. Bright light shines down through the trees and settles into a low-lying grove with an old log. A tree with red leaves and dark branches sits in the foreground.

A painting by artist Chris Dale, entitled Shallow Grave In Gray, shows a hand removing the soil from the face of a dead child from a mass grave.

Graves for the dead should not be strata. Their body should be placed with meaning with devotion where all can remember and offer support. Not to be strewn---
If you are interested in sci-fi, fantasy, or horror, then sure. Those genres are my primary focus at the moment. I don't have anything currently, but I'll let you know when I have a story that needs to be read.
Beta readers are welcome, but don't expect much in terms of poems. I only really write them for classes, so most of the readings would be short stories.
Since I have a poetry class this semester, here's a poem I did for class the other day. I'm no poet, but my critique partners seemed to get a kick out of it. #poetry #writingcommunity #winter #nature

Sakamoto Desu Ga is probably my favorite anime, but I have never met someone who has heard of it before I introduced it to them. And when I go to bookstores, I can never find a copy. The only place to buy it in America is Amazon. That's the downside of having weird tastes, I guess. #Anime #Manga
