You may very well be correct, although I truly hope you’re not. (85 dead children is nothing to wish for.) I simply haven’t yet seen confirmation from a trustworthy source. I spent enough time in the military to be skeptical about claims by the combatants in an armed conflict.
I’m saying I don’t know. I don’t trust the source (Iranian state TV) any more than I trust Trump. It may very well be true, but it may also be pure fictional propaganda. Countries in the Middle East always make claims like this to stoke outrage. Remember, the first casualty of war is the truth.
We can’t believe a damn thing the Trump administration says, but is Iranian state TV any more credible? I don’t think so, and reports of hitting schools, hospitals, orphanages and the like is a common propaganda ploy. I’ll wait until this is independently confirmed.
