Plus, if Hassett says 2 months the reality is at least 4
Meanwhile, the US negotiating team will consist of the president's son-in-law, a Bronx slumlord-turned-millionaire, and the co-host of The Real QAnon Podcast
i ain't reading all that
i'm happy for you tho
or sorry that happened
Sonny Crockett, obviously a distant relative of Jasmine Crockett, and a very High IQ and stylish police officer, would be proud of the legacy that he began long ago, and especially Jasmine’s Great Success in Supporting the rule of law in a state that the Republicans won in 2024!
As of April 15, I will be adding a 3.5% fuel surcharge to my Bluesky posts and replies

Happy Passover to all!
There's increasing talk of renaming the DTCC the Donald Trump Clearing Corp.
Trump seems to be trying to chicken out, but this situation *might* be different:
1. We need Iran and Israel to cooperate in any deescalation
2. Oil supplies to Asia and Europe will soon fall short, which could send Brent prices much higher
Just saying this is quite a quagmire
I'm excited to be speaking at the The SME Forum Spring event. It’s always one of the most collaborative gatherings of the year and a chance to dig into practical examples of what’s actually working.

Few details for now, but it'll be interesting to see what this means for the product lineups at Manulife, John Hancock and L&G.
Pauly Supreme?
My loosely informed opinion is that people compare BlueSky, which is still young in its evolution, to Twitter in 2021, after 10+ years of maturing into an information-rich community.
I also think 2021-Twitter will never return, but BlueSky could still mature into something more diverse.
Lift from the knees, not the waist
Mainstream news should only be as honest and factual as this, from the ruling by Judge James Boasberg quashing the DOJ subpoenas sent to the Federal Reserve Board.
U.S. gasoline prices now average $3.30 per gallon, according to AAA, and are headed higher. In even low-cost states like Kansas and Arkansas, we'll soon see it top $3.00.
This will not just raise inflation, but consumers' inflation expectations.
Did all the reviews calling the State of the Union boring tip Trump into deciding to attack Iran? That fact that this is a reasonable question does not speak well of our current political climate.
There's a non-zero chance that Trump will use the obscure Section 420 to raise tariffs to 69%
So if the 15% global tariff is imposed, that'll go down to around a 0.7% tax on GDP. Cool, cool.
Try not to be so cynical, Dave. Have some faith that the hypersensitive, bigoted, grifting, neo-fascist, anti-science pedophiles in power know what they're doing.
So, the Supreme Court has some lines it won't cross after all.
It will be interesting to see if the Trump Administration tries to justify the tariffs on national security grounds.

To be honest, that doesn't sound good for FinReg
“.. Some CEOs aren’t even willing to guess anymore about when the US consumer will start to see some relief.”
“.. We don’t see that yet,” said Pentair’s CEO, “and we have no evidence that that’s going to happen.”

This is hilarious. Geographers? Hosts and hostesses? Archivists? Not everything is on a screen!
BREAKING: The Epstein survivors are releasing this ad on this Super Bowl Sunday to send the message that they will not “move on” from the largest sex trafficking scandal in the world. #standwithsurvivors
Barely a few hours after President Donald Trump named him as the next nominee to chair the Federal Reserve, Kevin Warsh was revealed to be in the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking case files.
The new Pew poll shows Trump's popularity is dropping. But rather than lean into defiance and enforcing justice, my stupid Democratic Party focuses on averting a shutdown and complaining about grocery prices without presenting solutions.
Trump was always going to pardon Gobble *and* Waddle because they had both been found guilty of financial fraud
