It's something that two people create and build together, so treating it purely as two individuals means you're only looking at the individuals themselves, and not the relationship as a whole. It's a bit like looking at a person and only seeing their individual organs and body parts.

A relationship isn't just two people being together, a relationship is basically those two people coming together and making something that is greater than the sum of it's parts.

Some people talk about their "other half", but a relationship isn't 0.5 + 0.5 = 1, it's 1 + 1 = 3

Problem with the meds I'm on is I have to take them in roughly 6 hour intervals each day, so right now that's 07:00, 12:30, 18:00 and 23:30, and I can't eat for two hours before or half an hour after each of those times. And I can't skip times, etc.

This is hell.

If you only put in the minimum viable effort and emotion into a relationship as the norm, if that is the baseline you aim to be at, you have only yourself to blame when, not if, you find yourself standing there alone.

Same goes with the people around you, your friends, etc.
