I feel like I don’t have a single person in this world. I really don’t want to be here anymore.

I've felt for years that there must just be something wrong with me. How does everyone else seem to manage? Why are things so much harder for me? The issue must be ME. I am so desperate for any kind of support. I feel like I'm being swallowed up by this world, and I really can not handle it anymore

I come from a traditional, religious, Jamaican household. Neither of my parents knows much about autism beyond the stereotypical portrayal of it. I'm in my late 20s and still live with my mother and her husband. I feel like I've slipped through the cracks of the system. I feel like I'm stuck.

Posting here cuz idk where else to get it out. But finding support for autism as an adult feels completely hopeless. I have no doubt in my mind that I'm autistic, but I have been struggling to find/keep stable employment for years and can not afford an assessment.
