It was always Strontium Dog for me. He was doing sci-fi spaghetti western long before the Mandalorian.

I watched Space 1999 and enjoyed it but never got totally into it, but the station set design was absolutely stupendous.
I'm proper excited for the Rogue Trooper movie - I first came across Rogue in the 80s and I've been a massive fan ever since, even the Friday storyline.
My three favourite things are my T-shirt, my statue and my three bio-chips. Brilliant stuff.
Ulysses 31.
Ulysses 31.
4.2k words. I've got to the point but after the lengthy world-building the main encounter seems to be moving along at too fast a pace, as if I'm rushing to the end.
Do I add more fluff or do I cut back on what I've already done so that it flows better? Or do I let it take its natural course?
Wait, is that the INT-4? Holy shit, minirigs for the win!
Another amazing poster from @mattferguson.bsky.social , this looks like a lot of fun.
We're watching it on Netflix, but I have the DVDs packed away somewhere.
We're halfway through Stargate season 2 and I'd forgotten just how much fun this show is. Likeable characters, fun stories, some great action adventure and excellent lore and setting.
It's such a pleasure to catch up with this again. I miss 20+ episodes of TV in a season.
HE IS THE ONE AND ONLY
One thing I am making sure of is not to mix my fiction with my game design, so my stories will not be based on any existing game worlds or characters, and neither will I use my fiction as the basis of new games or adventures.
I want to keep them seperate. They have different meanings for me.
Now that I'm getting back into fiction writing I've started looking at different publications I can pitch for, and my favourite up to yet has been Clarkesworld. It's a great mix of fiction and articles and it's in an excellent format.
I've got a lot of stories to tell. I have to start somewhere.
I haven't, but thank you for the heads up!
3.2k words now, and I'm about to get to the point of the story. No rush. This kind of thing takes time. I've been writing all my life and I know my limits and the extent of my abilities, and this is my own setting and story so I don't have any safety nets.
But this is for me. Just stay comfortable.
Just me taking my peacock for a walk.
My wife had a go at taking a publicity photo of me. I might use this when I'm important enough to be seen.
I'm visiting Kirby Hall near Corby. It's a stunning Elizabethan house/ruin filled with wonderful inspiration.
You win D&D when everyone wants to come back for the next game.
The MiniSix version from Antipaladin Games is my favourite version of the system - it's short, concise, and covers all kinds of tech levels for pretty much any kind of campaign in any genre.
If I did write a D6-based game I'd use this as my framework.
The D6 System originally developed by West End Games has been my favourite game system since my Star Wars First Edition days, so I'm confused as to why I never designed a game using this mechanic.
The D6 System is open, now, so there's nothing stopping me.

Lol - he is now.
I will, my wife suggested the same.
I've decided to get myself a companion for my office, something to add a bit of colour and glamour to the room.
Everyone say hello to Horatio.
Last night I took the plunge and did the first 1k of a new short story set in a universe that's been bouncing around in my head for a few years.
I always thought of it as a novel but introducing it as a short story feels better. Small steps.
The game that got me through COVID? Dungeon Saga from @manticgames.bsky.social . We played the hell out of it.
It's a great game and it was the game we returned to again and again while we were locked down.
Thanks, Mantic, you got us through a tough time.
One of the greatest views I ever experienced - Tokyo Tower with Mount Fuji in the distance on a wonderful clear day.
This was the view from our hotel lobby. I can't believe it's been more than 2 years since we went. It's one of my favourite places in the world.
All excellent choices.
