DA MIGHTY TROGGHAMMER! I had to repaint the Best Sports trophy to honour such a lovely weekend. The event had a synthwave theme going on (coincidentally matching my Troggs) so I just had to! It was already a nice lurid pink, so just needed to sponge on purples & turquoise, then added my Trogg's signature invisible UV paint...

Under da Bad Moon (UV light), the invisible paint glows to reveal the names of the two TOs & all my lovely opponents. G1 - Andrew - Couldn't have asked for a better first game opponent, having faced him last game at LGT. Under the bad Moon our armies glowed & slogged it out for a close win. G2 - Evren - All da big pigz came charging in, but more importantly easily danced around the 6 objectives which the Troggs struggled to contest. G3 - Clement - Vizzik tried to neuter the Troggs, but he was quite unlucky with his magic & abilities. Troggs showed they are infinitely better Rat Ogors to end day 1 on 2-1. G4 - Colm - Oh boy, how does one deal with 21 Spawns of Chotec on a map with little obscuring. Lots of dead, dead Troggs but still a great game. G5 - Steve - A Trugg-off! Ended up being the most tactical game of the weekend & finished on 1 point up after we talked the last turn through with the TOs. The Troggs on both sides just kept going & going. Steve outplayed me with his Snarlfang, but I stayed in the game when my Trugg showed him who's the real Troggking. Ending the weekend on 3-2 was ultimately better than I hoped! Also, Angel Wargamers were out in full force, love how events are the only times I get to see my old clubmates given how little I play.

With an event colour theme like that, it was destiny. Thank you again Mark & Higgsy, lovely gents & I'll defo be back for another Mighty Founding event. Any chance for a narrative one? 😜

During the legendary Battle of the Warpwheel, the Troggboss Smash-It clashed with a gang of Doomwheels. Suddenly, a Mawkrusha rampaged through, indiscriminately flattening both the troggoth & Skaven alike. Left for dead, the Troggboss slowly regenerated amidst the mechanical rubble, flesh melding with machinery & was further mutated/empowered by Warpstone energy. How it ended up being 'piloted' by a Trugglet & former Grot lancer is a tale for another time...
