This is because the people who wrote the codex and the people who made the games basically didn’t interact

Tbf I think that was originally framed around the idea that you’ll get an infinite good life in heaven so whatever happens to you now doesn’t really matter

I mean this is the guy whose grand plan was, before he started having to cover his ass, exclusively killing criminals who had already been caught by the police. He’s not actually very smart

It’s so great when that guy’s face melts off

Even if you were entirely unaware that ships in Star Wars used fuel, there is zero reason to ever think that they *didn’t*. It’s a moronic thing to get mad over and nobody really does, they just want to hate every part of TLJ

Ships in Star Wars are alternatively portrayed as airplanes, cars, or boats, all of which use fuel (with a handful of warships as the sole exception). Ships are depicted as being fueled in the movies, even if they don’t say the word “fuel” out loud

This is absolutely not true, multiple clone wars epsiodes prominently feature fuel as a plot point. Every piece of Star Wars EU media focusing on the use of ships depicted them as needing fuel. The technical databooks give fuel storage and consumption information for the ships

But I am an annoying pedant

Also it’s an attempt to distance myself from the type of atheist who thinks that *not* believing in something means that they correct perceive the nature of reality

I used to be an atheist until I realized I couldn’t justify arbitrary disbelief in an unfalsifiable idea any more than arbitrary belief. So now I’m just an agnostic antitheist where I remain open to the existence of some type of God but also think all possible religions are automatically wrong.

This post is driving me insane because I’m not sure if it’s a compliment for or a dig at DS9

Because when these people say “recession” they mean “things are bad, financially” so denying a recession to them feels like denying any financial issues exist

There’s also the fact that the movie isn’t about a trade embargo behind the broad strokes, I don’t think it actually knows what a trade embargo is. But neither do prequel fans so they think it’s smart because it says some words they saw in the news
