I'll be different and say Need For Speed: High Stakes.
It's short, but the vibes and art style go in hard, its dynamic lighting is simply not something you'd see in any other racing game of the period.
I'd link screens, but Bsky media is down again, some Scotland instead: youtu.be/b_KYNzPrIck?...

Spent many days in the 3-level demo that came with SimCity 3000.

Got the inspiration to make a short that's been floating in my mind for a while. Maybe I just like Ace Combat.

Don't tell him that there's no correct way of playing, as it's From's most "find your own niche play style" game yet. 😁
Hole 9 Beach (Pebble Beach no Hatou Plus, PS1, T&E Soft, 1996)
That's the joy of playing on an open platform. Playing on a screen of choice, with an input method of choice, with visual settings that make you happy.
Looking forward to more posts about it! It's been a couple of years, but I still remember some bits and pieces about this one.
The setting of it is definitely curious, especially the stark contrast after 2.
For how long are we leaving him in there?
People love Aya so much that there's like 7 PE indie clones coming out.
A digitally painted fanart of the PS1 game Parasite Eve. Aya stands off center of the piece, looking confidently at the viewer with her hand on her pistol. Behind her, a large image of Melissa’s/Eve’s face looms, morphing into Eve again to the left side of the painting. Eve holds her hands to her stomach, pregnant with the Ultimate Being. Below, the adult version of the Ultimate Being can be seen above the New York City skyline. The piece is painted in cyans, dark purples, and greens, with a bright crimson overlay reminiscent of veins.

PRAGMATA is nice and whenever you can, you should play it too. That's why I'm gonna follow my own advise and continue playing it tomorrow, most likely.
But for now, here's today's archive.

Unlike most pre-rendered titles, this game imposes a background on 3D (half-)spheres.
The end result is that the background is lower resolution and is more distorted, but you have a system where you can move the camera within the bounds of the sphere.
This also means you can use widescreen hacks.

Big fan of the soundtrack, especially the main theme!
