Out for a ski with Sam on a beautiful March day. As much as I’m looking forward to my upcoming book travel, I know I’ll be homesick so I tried to soak it all in.

Book Review: Black Woods, Blue Sky, by Eowyn Ivey "She’d often go there during her breaks if the weather was good, and she’d sit on top of the table with her feet on the bench, facing the mountains. Tourists thought the Wolverine Lodge was in the middle of nowhere, but it wasn’t. Over there, on the far side of the river, away from the highway and the power lines, way up in the mountains where the spruce forests looked more blue than green and the valleys disappeared behind peak after peak, that was the true wilderness."
