I made this Asuka from Evangelion costume back in 2003. And I just finally shot it on the white backdrop last month 😹 it is NOT in good shape, the pleather parts are starting to go, things held on by tape are peeling up, marker lines bleeding. Glad I got shots before it’s totally trashed! #cosplay
Took some new photos of my Padme lake dress on the white backdrop over the holiday break. It needs a little TLC before I bring it back to dragoncon later this year, but nothing major - some stains on the hem to clean, and I want to tweak the wig. #cosplay #starwars

I had surgery in February which knocked me out of doing ANYTHING for a couple of months. As soon as I felt better, I jumped into Dragoncon projects and way over extended myself. Typical! Hoping to a better balanced 2026!

Yeah I dunno why smugmug hasn’t upped that. They cater to professional photographers delivering galleries to clients and I know there’s wedding videos out there that’s way bigger!

I use smugmug for all of my photo and video storage. It has an app and can automatically back up your phones photo roll too everyday if you want. Lots of controls for permissions, handles lots of file types.

My 3 Belle ballgowns. Left is my newest I made this year. Center is 2012 version, right is 2005. Had to get creative with hoopskirts to display all 3 (I don’t have the 2005 hoopskirt anymore & 2012/2025 share the same hoopskirt) - so it’s not exactly perfect but fun to see them together. #cosplay

The embroidery I’m doing on my Belle ballgown swags is being so difficult to photograph! 😬 I had planned to do this from the start, but didn’t have time before dragoncon, so I did my art nouveau motifs in HTV. Now going over it with gold floss. Hoping it picks up when shot w/the real camera!

Kevin and I got to wear our ceremonial Luke and Leia to an event this week - first time since 2024, I think! Kevin is my cousin, and he has autism. I think of him more as my little bro than cousin. I love that we still get to play dress up together.
