An embroidery hoop containing a sewn aerial view landscape. It depicts an apple orchard in bloom in the centre, allotments to the left and sheep in their field at the bottom. Train tracks go past the top of the orchard and allotment.
Sewn train tracks past an apple orchard (to the left).
An angled view of a sewn vegetable allotment surrounded by rough land, trees and with train tracks to the left.
An angled view of embroidered bushes and paths going through them leading to an orchard, allotment and fields.
'A simple (perfect) life' - my spring landscape is finally finished! An apple orchard in bloom, old railway, sheep with their lambs and an allotment being prepared for growing :) Zoom in to see all the other tiny details too... I think this might be my favourite aerial embroidery I've ever done!
Funny how the entire article is her saying “it’s very, very clear” over and over without having the spine to say precisely what it is she believes bosses should do, before telling them to just seek independent legal advice anyway lol. Painful amounts of clarity.
“out of the third of employers that would consider hiring a transgender person, just 8% think they should have the same rights to be hired for a job as everyone else. Few feel their workplace is liberal enough to tolerate transgender workers, with only 4% declaring their workplace culture diverse enough for transgender people to 'fit in.”
This is something I go back to pretty regularly in discussions: that even in 2018 only one third of employers said they would consider hiring a trans person and that *of that third* only 8% felt we should have the same right to *a job* as the rest of the population.
drawing of ryne and gaia mostly in black inky swathes of gaia's hair and coat curling around them. ryne holds a gunblade in one hand and reaches out unseeing with the other, her eyes closed. perhaps gaia is holding her up, a black-nailed hand tight around ryne's waist, or perhaps they have become a single entity with an extremely long hp bar

thats nuts
Were Brianna still alive you’d be denying her healthcare while saying she should use the male bathroom, and giving her no legal means to live a life as herself. If you’re concerned about trans girls being murdered, concern yourself with the transphobia that results in it.
hey friends — if you haven't seen, The Verge is running a series on the future of being trans on the internet. it's got a bunch of very cool stories from talented writers! you should check it out www.theverge.com/cs/features/...
Somewhere in Iceland.
Doesn’t stop there either.
I am on a lifelong quest to paint super round, chunky flowers that look like cabbages. This is the latest installation!

Still thinking about Superman and the Hawkgirl moment 🪂
If anything ‘bathroom ban’ is understating it, since it bans us from changing rooms, gyms, support groups, etc. It will be illegal for *any* women’s group above 20 ppl – be it gardening, hiking, book clubs – to include trans women.
It’s a ban on engaging in a public life to any meaningful degree.

Almost like there’s some sort of biology at play that’s seen as a woman’s. Like some sort of… oh I don’t know… biological woman.
This is mind-blowing! I have never seen footage of the slip that occurs during an earthquake! Here you see the slip that occurred during the Myanmar earthquake. 🤯

Was worried about this. It only takes a few major names to shake others into following suit and preemptively complying, regardless of what the law currently is. Which of course was the point in the EHRC putting out the update, but still sad (worrying, sickening) to see it having the intended effect.

Couldn’t catch me in the same room as someone doing all they can to segregate and dehumanise a minority group, let alone stand with them and smile.
monday, a solid black three-eyed anthropomorphic goat, wearing a chemise à la reine, an unstructured white dress tied at the waist with a yellow sash. she has a lit candle in each hand and the wax is dripping down past her fingers. a little yellow crown floats above her head with a wobbly isoelectric line in the background

Making us use the wrong bathroom forcibly outs us to everyone around (violation of our privacy) + denies us our dignity via humiliation, while also putting us at risk of violence & harassment.

Never get in the way of the Guardian and rushing to make anti-trans rhetoric more palatable for the average reader. Pandering on views that make you indistinguishable from The Times won’t get you the donations you keep begging for.
Why do all of that tedious work to help make women safer when you can just tweet ‘trans women are men’ in increasingly hostile ways and get lionised as a modern day suffragette for it.
I don't want people telling me I'm valid, I want civil rights lol
Zero compliance time folks
