DC should be made a State instead. As is.

Graphic text: Peter Thiel dumped $7M into Virginia's redistricting vote and sent outright lying mailers claiming Obama opposed it. Turns out Virginia voters were smarter than his money.
I spoke with a member of the state election commission who was at the polling place about these mailers and texts I was getting. They had already figured out it was Thiel and how much he spent, but couldn’t do anything because Obama was a public figure, so they could stuff any words into his mouth.
Information, education, and facts will fix it, but it will take 20 years.

Map of Republican gerrymandered VA in 2010, all Red with only NOVA and a few counties between Richmond and Nofolk.
But it was OK when Republicans gerrymandered the hell out of VA in 2010. Got it.

Proper response.
Texas and Missouri are precedent for it being legal, no?
Oh, yeah, I definitely see the difference in the parties there, triple dipper, and Republicans are nothing but wall to wall contempt of the Constitution. Meanwhile, the old Democrats do everything by the book. They won’t break any rules when they should be breaking bones. Get the young’uns in there!
The majority of Congress needs to agree to refer the matter to investigation, a grand jury, a civil suit, and perhaps imprisonment or fines, but this method has not been used since 1934. Time to start, but it won’t be possible with this cabal in power.
This is true. Nobody is under any obligation to tell the truth or even answer a question in these forums, and there is no recourse, like remanding them to the holding cell in the basement until they feel like answering with facts. They can’t even drag them in. Congress needs a court mode.
That’s what a good ass chewing looks like.
“Confederate Hatred In Politics Reducing Overreach by Yahoos” act.
This was a referendum on Trump, and everyone e knows it.
And “Hi Missouri!”
Voters approve in Virginia.
Voters approve in California.
Voters don't get a say in Texas.
Voters don't get a say in Missouri.
That's the difference.
And who is trying to steal the election?
Yep!
I’m already hearing disappointment from my Trumpist relatives in the Midwest and this is the exact wording I’ll use on them. Thank you.
Someone in Congress should propose the “Confederate Bigots In Congress Removal Act” targeting people proposing such bigoted measures, except I can’t come up with an acronym that spells “Chip Roy”.

Republican funded anti-gerrymander campaign misrepresenting Obama’s position on the matter. Accompanying text: “Hi Claudia here. Richmond Politicians are working to gerrymander Virginia and divide our communities. President Obama said gerrymandering has “stalled progress and warped our representative government.” Protect minority representation today and vote no on gerrymandering. Paid for by Justice for Democracy PAC “STOP” to end”
Republican funded anti-gerrymander campaign misrepresenting Obama’s position on the matter. Accompanying text: “Hi this is Marsha and I wanted to flag that President Barack Obama, Governor Abigail Spanberger, the Richmond Times-Dispatch, and Washington Post all have come out against gerrymandering. Next month in Virginia, democracy is on the ballot—vote NO against Richmond insiders and politicians attempt to take our voice away. President Obama says, “Let voters decide, not politicians.” Governor Spanberger says, “Gerrymandering is detrimental to our democracy.” The Washington Post says “politicians are presenting the proposed amendment to voters in the most brazenly dishonest way imaginable.” And the Richmond Times-Dispatch says this is “a power grab that would overturn the will of voters.” Say NO to gerrymandering – vote early or mail back your ballot today! Paid for by Justice for Democracy PAC. “STOP” to end”
I’ll credit the relentless voter confusion campaign funded by PACs apparently linked to Thiel. “Vote NO because Obama says gerrymandering is wrong!” flooded my mailbox, email, and direct texts. The campaign left out the part where Obama was talking about what Texas Republicans started. 2/14 samples.
Make it so.
Whatever you say.
But, that’s fine if you don’t like it. I get it. Three of my cars are over 35 years old. No software, no touch screens, and no improvements to anything in there since they were built. I’ve probably replaced half the buttons in those cars because they’ve stopped working.
There’s no real screen touching going on while driving. There’s voice control. Software updates have moved controls for windshield wipers to much more handy steering wheel buttons. A software update helped people who got their charging adapter stuck in the port: the rear door handle will unlatch it.
Imagine if this regime was just as interested in automatic registration of all voters.
The U.S. produces lots of oil, but much of it isn’t readily suitable for motor fuel. Most of what the U.S. pumps is light crude, but heavy crude is needed to produce gasoline and diesel. About 60% of U.S. refineries are set up for heavy crude, so there a lot of oil swapping from elsewhere going on.
Is everyone at the SEC asleep or replaced? The perps need to be found and locked away for good. It’s one thing to do insider trading, it’s quite another to make people suffer and die for it.
We’re waiting…
That’s a list of “Do Not Drive” and “Park Outside” cars, and it’s full of gas/diesel cars. You know who is grounded in reality and knows facts about this? The Insurance Industry. They also know Climate Change is real no matter how loudly the rubes shout about it.
Your Prozac might be expired if anything. Now that they’ve been shipping EVs with LFP batteries for a while, gas/diesel cars are 29x more likely to catch fire than EVs, up from 17x. Back in 1959 when Douchebagowitz registered as a “Democrat”, they were the Conservatives before Civil Rights and Nixon’s fear-based Southern Strategy consolidated all the bigots into the modern Republican Party.
