of course! i have tinnitus from long covid and this feature has been a *huge* help in minimizing the ringing episodes, especially when i’m going to bed.

nah, it’s just an ambient noise feature in iOS.

in the control panel (right corner, swipe down): tap on add a widget, search for “hearing” and tap the option with the ear icon.

soft touch that widget icon and you can preview the background sounds. i use this to go to sleep.

last thing i’d suggest (a huge nice to have, not a need to have) is a screwdriver tool kit that’s compatible with the current macbook air. i take the under plate off and clean the fans myself.

okay, i agree with the other suggestions of making sure you get an external hard drive. 1-2TB should cover you nicely over the next few years. sandisk extreme pro is my only go-to.

i’d also suggest getting a usb-c to usb-a dongle given so many electronics and accessories still utilize usb-a ports.

i peeped the replies and seen your mention of using it for school. does the coursework involve any editing (audio, graphic, video) of the sorts or having to utilize something like an adobe app?
