Yup. If those are the rules they wanna play by, Dems can (and had better) play by 'em instead of standing off to the side while loudly clearing their throats and tapping the rulebook.

Warner Bros. has announced that #SpeedRacer (2008) will be released in theaters, including IMAX, for the week of April 25, in addition to being remastered in 4K Ultra HD, digitally and on disc, on May 19. 🍿

FYI, this turned out fucking incredible.

Powers that be: permit me to take a swing at
-Profit (He's a techbro, now)
-Alien Nation (The clumsiest imaginable race relations metaphor, but it had a weird charm, I CAN FIX HIM, DADDY)
-HBO's Rome (Never not mad about this)
-Capitol Critters (I can fix him, daddy. But I won't. I will break him.)
I've only just subscribed to blackbirdcoop & I already love him. Came for the sensible farming/agriculture takes, stayed for the bigot roasts.

Hi I can’t stop laughing
Yeah, extremely reactionary. Without the midcentury breadwinner/homemaker framework to reference, more men start to view partnership/marriage as unattainable, so they start to politically lean towards sexist social and political positions. Women react by going "cool, fuck you too."
Dudes who actually buy into manosphere bullshit love to go on about biological/gender essentialism and The Natural Order, but when you tell 'em "So where's the problem, most males in the animal kingdom never get a chance to procreate, I guess your genes must be inferior" suddenly there's an issue :V
Tuna Hake's Underwater is a Y2K shitpost/fever-dream that also plays great. Which is really shouldn't, given that it's Tony Hawk's Pro Skater with fish.
It's short, simple and not especially serious in its scoring, but it's very hard not to grin through every moment of it. The energy's infectious.
At under 40 reviews, I'm just going to assume nobody got the memo that the developers of 'rhythm violence' game Thumper released a followup - Thrasher.
Same psychedelic chrome nightmare and score-chasing but with very different gameplay. As with Thumper it's playable in VR as well and looks WILD.
Blood Facsimilie is only a few weeks old, but it stil deserves more than 50 reviews.
A lightweight immersive sim inspired by Cruelty Squad, but with its own vibe. You're a contestant in a virtual murder-gameshow set in fragmented liminal spaces, with a big focus on collectathon-esque exploration.
BrebeMan looks weird, sounds great and plays better. A weird third-person shmup about a breakbeat-powered musical hero.
I love the weird photo-collage aesthetic, and doubly love how (like Rez), even if it's not a rhythm game, everything happens to the beat, making your shots part of the soundtrack.
I keep posting Queen of Treasure Isle but it still remains bafflingly under 100, despite being one of the smartest, most charming metroidvanias around.
By Yume Nikki fan-animator Gobou, this one is FULL of alternate routes, sequence breaks & secrets. It'll take many NG+ loops to explore everything.
Not everything is a tiny indie production - some are just undersold, like Etrange Overlord. The creator of Disgaea and the Rhapsody series of whimsical musical JRPGs returns to smash the two together.
Singing, dancing, and messy action-RPG combat as a villainess (you) conquers and gentrifies hell.
Starting off with the Weird dialled up to eleven: Extreme Evolution: Drive to Divinity.
A psychedelic physics-driven exploration platformer where you collect strange new forms with even stranger abilities to navigate your way through a non-linear maze of dimensions. Biblically Accurate Monkey Ball.
To celebrate hitting 14,000 followers on Bluesky, I'm... gonna shake my tip jars on Ko-Fi and Paypal below, because work's been slow this month and I've got a house move coming up at the end of April...
But I'll be also posting a big thread of cool games with under 100 Steam reviews! LET'S GOOOOOO!
you can call this many things but not dishonest. it DOES have "fire" in the keywords

every clip I've seen for Tomodachi life has been fantastic, truly one of the best "making my dollies kiss" games to do it

Thank you so much for Halo Head, it's been an incredible comic for bringing me and my friend closer together as we read and discuss each new page.

This one is particularly funny because like... for what??? Use it for what??? It has horrible memory, can't keep track of characters and complicated story lines, writes bad dialog?? For language being the most 'shocking' thing AI does, long form writing feels like the thing it's the WORST at
