So saddened to hear about Gary Kelley’s passing. Kelley has been my favorite illustrator since i’ve been in art school, and you cannot overstate the level of influence he’s had on the American illustration cannon. One of the greatest to ever do it, and A terrible loss

I’m not sure what people with chicken cars (or is that chickens with people cars?) are going to do now. The Bunty’s signage has been removed! New owners bought it in late 2020, but kept the old name. Maybe now with the Esso pumps soon to be unveiled, it’s time to finally rebrand.
Spent another few hours and finished it today. The story takes place across three different time periods, which I plan to differentiate with different drawing and coloring styles
