Can you still buy it? My fave at primary school back in the 60s, particularly when we added some sherry (Bristol Cream of course) to the mix.

Indeed. I've known several older friends with larger houses who took years to sell as they had rural settings, long before the VAT change. And what is the issue with getting a lodger? Why is this such a challenging option? Sigh...

Most effective is probably those vibrating tanks people use for retainers.

Italy’s far-right government revives holiday for saint at ‘core of our nation’s identity’ Millions of Italian workers expected to get day off every 4 October in honour of Saint Francis of Assisi

Ironic that Meloni's crew want to celebrate St Francis, the wokest of Saints. Maybe Starmer should make St George's day a holiday too. Touché, Reform.

Reform UK, which has a grand total of four MPs, was just given an uninterrupted platform for an hour and a half on the BBC and Sky News channels, in order to talk about its plans for mass deportations

When was the last time the Greens (with four MPs) or the Lib Dems (with 72) were given the same?

Thank you! You always come up with the most eye catching and beautiful artifacts. Such a relief from the present day news.

Agreed. The whole thing was wonderful but I was particularly struck by the perfection of the costumes. They could have walked out of Holbein's paintings.

Shout out to Radio 3 for excellent Christmas programming - this is what I pay my licence for. Wonderful music and so open to Europe that if I close my eyes I can almost pretend that Brexit didn't happen.
