Started my weekend with a first year Ross's gull near Titchwell RSPB reserve, never believed I'd be watching one following the plough, a close flyby later though, made my day!

I went to Clive Byers send off (funeral) yesterday in Norwich, a long term friend and, an all round great person! One of many birders I'll miss, Clive more than most! RIP mate, see you again in the after(birding)life!
You're fighting a losing battle mate, I cut lawns for a living and, most are like that! I regularly find Bee orchids growing in lawns and, I leave them to bloom - customer, what's that weed... ๐คทโโ๏ธ
I went to Borneo in the early 1990's and, I was amazed by the forest cover and the amount of wildlife! I saw a BBC programme about the Probocius monkey on the river I camped along, now there's just a few metres of forest along the river - the rest has been clear for palm plantation! ๐ด๐ด๐ด๐
Then, we're f**ked!
She's only thinking about her shares dividend, fook the planet, I'll be rich enough to lord it over the dying masses... ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
Oh, great, all tropical forests will disappear, so we can still drive using Palm oil... ๐ฑ

Good evening in Daukes hide this evening, ad Yellow-legged gull, ad & 2W Caspian Gull, 4 Glossy ibis and 5 Whooper swan!
Evening in Daukes hide, seeing a 1W Caspian Gull, 2 adult Yellow-legged gull, 6 Glossy ibis hidden away behind some reed and tall grass on Pat's pool - light didn't help either! A Barn owl did a flyby as I was packing up to leave. The geese dropping in, was the highlight of my evening - brilliant!

My day started off well today, I was just about to walk out the door, to go to work. When, our local WhatsApp group, let the news out of a Caspian tern on Cley NWT reserve.
Only a single Pyramidal orchid, at a roadside reserve near Great Walsingham - so far! Common- spotted orchid are having another good year, with at least 56 spikes.
Good evening at Cley this evening, Hobby over and, two Green sandpiper - one of which did a close flyby calling loudly! Though, highlight for me, we're the 100 plus Med gulls we saw! Peak count on Simmonds scrape, was 39, most I've ever seen there - one of my fave gulls!
Nightjar at my local site, seen well from the car park and, I was the only one there - double bonus!
I know of half a dozen olive trees in North Norfolk, probably came in with these over the last few years?
A good result at today's FA Cup, Palace had some luck and, rode it well! Man city were off their game, at least it'll cheer up the red half of of the World...

Warmest day today for atleast a few weeks! My first Cuckoo of the spring, also first sightings of Hairy hawker and 4-spot chaser. Finished the day off, with a Barn owl hunting, a Water rail calling and, a cracking sunset!
