I yearn for my own place and yard to tear up in part so I can finally use all the things she taught me about gardening and have my own lil haven of flowers and veggies

I spent summers at her house growing up and I'd spend the days working out in the yard with her, mulching and weeding and repairing fences. I still remember how many bags of mulch it took to fully redo the garden beds everywhere (117 bags of 2 cu. ft)

It is probably a little bit of a brag but I'm so grateful for having my Grandy in my life. She has taught me so much and was a lot more kind and accepting about me coming out than most of my family and I'm very grateful for that.

I'm gonna send her some PB n J thumbprint cookies as a little belated birthday treat I think she'll get a real kick out of it

She was telling me today all she wants for her birthday celebration is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a birthday candle on it that she eats in silence on her back porch instead of dealing with all the family tension and I honestly cannot fault her lmao
