An Elezen man in his mid thirties with brown skin and chestnut hair is nude, but tastefully draped in shot silk and is half-seated on a weathered grave marker. A garland of roses and sweet orange blossom—fit for a bride—is around the man's shoulders and the grave marker, linking him with death. Two candles are lit at the grave, burning with an eerie, pale flame, though the epitaph is unreadable by their ghostly light. Behind him, a tangle of dark purple sloes and blackthorn brambles is in a gilt frame, crowned with a star. A field of somber black and purple in the background balances the lushness of fruit and flower.

I have long wanted art of Velitas by @wicksandwheat.bsky.social and jumped on the chance to get one as a birthday treat.

Absolutely DELIGHTED with how it turned out. He wears Verrot's influence so well!

Truthfully, I am angry and terrified and sickened
and I don't know what to do and don't know if there's anything I can do, but I don't want to turn a blind eye and I don't want to do nothing I guess...

and more importantly we have to not become complacent should this even just have been the ravings of a lunatic who does not act on his threats

maybe calling wont spring the cowards who should have already acted into action, but here in what now seems like a short time frame, the very least you can do is direct that anger and make your voice heard. We have to do what we can

but we have to do something. We cannot just sit and wring our hands at the horror or spit anger and fear. Just as we cannot not cover our ears and act as if escapism is somehow radical and we have to protect our peace because well there's nothing lil ol' you can do so why try

I dont expect calling reps to be some magical fix it button, nor do I believe our government just needs a nudge in the right direction to be fixed, NOR do I believe this all rests on Trump when this is an obvious outcome of how America was built

that being said

“A whole civilization will die tonight” is the most vile thing a US president has ever said, certainly during the post-1945 era when they’ve had the power to kill civilizations with the dropping of a bomb. I’m staring into the darkness. May this not be one of the most fateful days in human history.
