Forgot to post this on #Mar10 day, but I recently finished my first YTP: Gumball Watches the Hotel Mario Movie!

As sad as it is that Smiling Friends is ending, an episode about meeting Charlie's uncle seems like a great way to end things off with one final loose end being resolved.

In just two weeks two of the apps I use the most threatened to screw over their entire user base. I've used them for years, so it's all a little disheartening. If you know what I'm talking about, what should I switch to?
I'm thinking of converting all my Spongebob deleted stuff restored videos into YouTube shorts like these to keep my channel and income active while I work on bigger projects.
I've officially mastered the art of the YouTube short.
That's pretty much it. I hope you guys continue to stick around to see what I've been cooking up, and I'd love to hear suggestions from you on what kind of videos you want to see me make! Here's to a productive 2026!
Finally, I have two big films that I plan to devote most of my time to for the duration of the year, and I'm sure they'll turn out amazing. I'll still try to upload smaller animations to the channel whenever I have the free time, just so it doesn't go completely inactive.
I also want to release a big tutorial video on how to make reanimated collabs so I can help others in the community. I already wrote out what I plan to say in the form of Newgrounds posts, so let me know if it's good for an eventual video script!

As for some big projects I want to tackle this year, I'm planning to debut a new animated avatar for my 30k subscriber special, which I might start using for longer-form video essays with me talking, and possibly some livestreams. I'm planning to use @scottfalco.bsky.social's ToonTubers technique.
Secondly, I'm planning to start a Patreon and build a portfolio website. I know I already started a Ko-fi page (which you can support here: ko-fi.com/maximizedani...) but I want to ensure a more consistent source of income in the future without having to rely on the pennies YouTube pays for uploads.
I'll still do my best to reupload one of my older videos as a short every week, and I plan to go all out with the production of shorts specifically around my series of Spongebob deleted scene restored videos. This time I'm gonna add voice acting!
So with that out of the way, what are my plans for 2026? First of all, I'm gonna stop having a weekly or biweekly schedule for my uploads and just post a new video whenever I get finished with one. That will remove a lot of the stress on my end to get stuff done on multiple deadlines.
I realize now that it'll take more effort from my end to make higher quality animations that more people will enjoy, but that also means I'm gonna have to stop uploading as often as I was last year. If it means I'll be more proud of the work I make, then that's worth it.
I thought that if I uploaded videos on a consistent weekly basis, I would build a stronger following and earn more ad income, but all I did was burn myself out multiple times and churn out lower quality videos as a result.
However, while 2025 was great for me in a lot of ways, it came with more struggles than I anticipated. I'll admit that, in an attempt to keep up with the success of Gumball Reanimated and make viewers from that video stay with my channel, I was going for a quantity-over-quality approach.
And Number 3, YouTube Shorts. After monetizing my channel, many of my newer videos were struggling to earn more than a few hundred views. But when I decided to turn some of my older animations into shorts, I was able to keep a consistent amount of views, subscriber growth, and ad income for a while.
Number 2, I was the most consistent I'd ever been with finishing and uploading videos. For two three-month periods, I was uploading a new video every Friday, and while I was doing it to maintain the hype for my channel, it motivated me to finish several videos I'd been keeping on the back burner.
Number 1, I finished and released my passion project, The Amazing World of Gumball Reanimated, and the reception has been more than I could've ever dreamed of. It's gotten over 2 million views, inspired so many fan dubs, and singlehandedly doubled the growth of my channel.

Happy New Year everyone! I apologize if this is a little late, but I wanted to gather my thoughts on how my 2025 went and my plans for 2026.
First of all, I have to say that 2025 was objectively the best year for my channel, for several reasons.
To celebrate the #GreatMemeReset, here's a drawing of the iconic Nyan Cat I made in October!

I was watching Rudolph's Shiny New Year the other day, and Father Time's design reminded me of a certain comedian...
