Policing pornography: how Labour is trying to criminalise sexual entertainment - and our desires The myth that sexual desire is vulgar, and that good girls don’t engage with pornography, is a key element of patriarchal standards

The new porn review has been out for 18 days, and the response has been mostly positive. But Im really worried about what will happen next if the recommendations get implemented.
We've seen attempts to draw lines between good & bad porn before, and it doesnt go well.

It depends on the grounds of the complaint from students I guess.
If the complaint is with what Universities did, it's absolutely justified. Staff and students alike were treated terribly.
If the complaint is what lecturers as workers provided, then it's grossly unfair.

Unpopular opinion probably but I really don't resent students claiming lost learning during the early stages of the ongoing pandemic.
Bosses screwed over both students and staff. We all were (/are) put in danger, messed about with constant changes in expectations, and overworked.

Thank you so much Aidan! I always find your work very valuable and persuasive even where we end up diverging. Hope to make your talk in Sheffield in May!

Should pornography be authentic? Some people think so, and partly because they think this would make it better ethically rather than just, well, better. Rosa Vince disagrees!

I realise a description of this music would be helpful, but I really don't know how to describe it sorry, he makes sounds with a saxophone and a computer and sometimes other instruments and it's good
