Yeah, I keep downloading blender with every new computer without ever sitting down to learn it. But you are absolutely right about the lighting. Especially once I figured out how to strip all the colors, textures, etc from the models.

What program are you using? I've been using DAZ for years. It's been a life saver on what seems to be my addiction to worms eye shots. (or at least low angle)

For the unaware, I have a website. With the state of sm these days (algorithms, AI, etc.) I'm thinking of going back to using my own site more.I'm unsure it will improve anything. But at least it may cut down on my time on these sites. Which I definitely see as a benefit.
