Warhammer Community featured my GD finalist entries, and I guess that's sort of a childhood dream come true ๐Ÿ˜‰ The Harlies also got bronze in Warhammer Stockholms The Fang competition, so if you happen to stop by there you can see them in the flesh.

It's been brought to my attention that @guyhaley.bsky.social has featured The Dance in Valedor too, so that's one added to my reading list ๐Ÿ˜€ Glad to hear someone besides me remember that old short story!

It's hard to believe that thirty-three years after Killing In The Name was released capitalism has still not been overthrown.

Golden Demon entry done! This "duel" is inspired by The Dance Without End, a play about the fall of the Eldar that Harlequin troupes perform. It ends with a Great Harlequin having a dance-off with a Solitaire playing Slaanesh. Here they're dancing on the ruins of the Eldar empire itself.

Thanks mate! I've had it lodged in my brain for thirty years and this is my tribute to it ๐Ÿ˜€

The story of one such performance was told in the first 40k book I read: Compilation, which had the Harlequin rules and background. When the Blood Bowl wood elves came out I immediately thought about this Jes Goodwin illustration and the idea has been lingering in my mind ever since.

The subreddit went from "wow, cool artwork" to "how does this thing that has never been mentioned anywhere work" overnight.

This was a harrowing experience, but one I absolutely needed. Games are art. Games show the world as it is, as it could be, back to us.

I made this article public because it felt incredibly important to me that people read it.

I was online back in 1998 when 3th edition 40k came out and this is incredibly on the nose.

Four warhammer miniatures: three goblins and one squig. They're a little sloppily painted, but the kid who painted them poured her heart into it.

Four warhammer miniatures: three goblins and one squig. They're a little sloppily painted, but the kid who painted them poured her heart into it.

The Kid painted her first minis with proper acrylics yesterday. Not bad โ€“ if anything she thinned the paint too much, the opposite problem compared to most newbies.

Most of them in some form or other, if I'm honest. You can probably guess how that is going!

Looks wonderful, it's always great to see how other people tackle the logistical challenges in workplaces.

Yeah, that's the only way to be sure short of a Warcom article linking to it.

I'll never stop being jealous of the amount of good-looking beer you Brits have on offer.

Trans awareness week begins today, and it feels more crucial now than ever before.

Hard to not feel very powerless in the face of bigotry, but I hope decency and compassion will prevail in the end.
