Happy Mutt Monday! The weather had been great last week so we spent time in the backyard playing fetch and going for long walks on bike paths- meaning very tired boys!

Happy Caturday, y'all! Milly has had an eventful week with the windows open, bird/squirrel watching, and getting brushed several days to get rid of her winter coat! She is so soft and it's nice to pet because she isn't shedding nearly at all!

This seems awesome! Thanks for sharing. I have added it to my TBR! I'm on a bit of a dystopian kick right now. I have been reading Pierce Brown's Red Rising series, A World We Never Knew by D.R. Long, and now Control by D.H. Murray. I can't wait to read this one!

Book with a weird creature on the cover in a forest with a giant wall behind it. Control: Pathways of Karr, Book 1. Written by D.H. Murray

An idyllic life, but for the death that stalks them.

Countless generations have carved safety from a ruined world. Hunted. Isolated. Defending their walls against shader-infested jungle.

The young choose a profession, decide what part they will play. Farmers, smiths, scribes… the roles are many, all vital in eking out another generation—and all paling beside those dedicated to war. This is the path Jotelan seeks.

Life, though, is rarely straightforward for a people spitting distance from extinction. The enemy, viciously predictable for centuries, is learning… adapting… taking interest in him.

Few plans survive the weight of such attention. Jotelan must find a new way forward, become stronger. Forge his own path.

And soon. For there exist far greater threats in this world than overrun jungles.

Control is the first book of Pathways of Karr, an epic fantasy progression series.

An almost idyllic life, but for the death that stalks them.

Countless generations have built and toiled and loved, carving a vibrant niche from a world in ruin. Not easy, defending the walls against shader-infested jungle.
