I joined my B.C. Liberal colleagues in condemning the Iranian regime’s brutal repression and standing with the Iranian people demanding freedom, dignity, and human rights. We will continue to amplify Iranian voices and hold the regime to account.

Their loss is a wound felt far beyond Sainte-Foy. Remembrance must move us to action. We stand with Muslim communities and recommit to building a Canada where everyone can live safely, freely, and without fear.🤍🕊️ (2/2)

Today, we remember Ibrahima Barry, Mamadou Tanou Barry, Khaled Belkacemi, Abdelkrim Hassane, Azzeddine Soufiane, and Aboubaker Thabti—six men murdered in an act of Islamophobic hate at the Québec City Mosque, where 19 others were injured. (1/2)

Here are my thoughts on the Canada-Alberta MOU

On this Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, we reaffirm the need to protect civilians, restore aid, uphold the ceasefire, and pursue a political solution that delivers safety and dignity.

Steven Guilbeault’s leadership transformed Canada’s approach to climate action and nature protection. His 2019 candidacy encouraged me to run for MP. While his voice will be missed in cabinet, I admire his conviction and look forward to working with him in caucus.

International Men’s Day reminds us that men’s well-being matters. “Be a man” shouldn’t mean staying silent. Real strength is honesty, reaching out, and showing up for yourself and others. Let’s create space for connection and care.

Budget 2025 was tabled this week, investing in the major infrastructure, industries, and careers that will grow our economy and secure lasting prosperity.

From derelict vessels to Styrofoam debris, pollution continues to threaten B.C.’s coastlines. The Clean Coasts Act takes action to hold polluters accountable so taxpayers don’t have to foot the bill for cleanup.

The second reading of the #CleanCoastsAct is scheduled for Nov 6. So for the next few days I’ll be sharing more info about the bill and why it’s so important for the health of our marine environment and supporting the livelihoods, cultures, and economics of coastal residents.

Our Government has introduced the Bail and Sentencing Reform Act to improve public safety & strengthen our justice system.

✅ Tougher sentencing for repeat & violent offenders
✅ New reverse onus for serious crimes
✅ Weapons prohibitions for organized crime
