It’s so funny that this guy is a main villain in Gundam, a franchise where fans sometimes like the villains a little too much, and yet he has no defenders. Nobody likes this fuckin guy

I sat outside on the grass while I ate my lunch today, and I saw a butterfly. Was filled with an inexplicable hope that everything is going to be okay, because it's springtime baybee

" On April 5th, a 54% tariff goes into effect on a wide range of goods imported from China. For those of us who create boardgames, this is not just a policy change. It's a seismic shift.
At Steve Jackson Games, we are actively assessing what this means for our products, our pricing, and our future plans. We do know that we can't absorb this kind of cost increase without raising prices. We've done our best over the past few years to shield players and retailers from the full brunt of rising freight costs and other increases, but this new tax changes the equation entirely.
Here are the numbers: A product we might have manufactured in China for $3.00 last year could now cost $4.62 before we even ship it across the ocean. Add freight, warehousing, fulfillment, and distribution margins, and that once-$25 game quickly becomes a $40 product. That's not a luxury upcharge; it's survival math.
Some people ask, "Why not manufacture in the U.S.?" I wish we could. But the infrastructure to support full-scale boardgame production – specialty dice making, die-cutting, custom plastic and wood components – doesn't meaningfully exist here yet. I've gotten quotes. I've talked to factories. Even when the willingness is there, the equipment, labor, and timelines simply aren't."

Steve Jackson Games posted this to their blog and the post is getting so many hits their site is effectively crashed but the point is worth repeating

Think we’ve forgotten about the time that Elon was booed so badly by fans of Dave Chapelle (of all people) that he locked himself in his office and Twitter employees considered calling the cops to do a wellness check.

What I’m saying is we can go harder.

The most experienced people in any job might do basically nothing outside of, 3 times a year, keeping everything from exploding.

Once every 6 months they tap a pipe, and 5 minutes later they've saved several million dollars worth of stuff from bursting into flames.

Pete Hegseth isn’t DEI. Daniel Penny isn’t DEI. That’s not what DEI is.

They’re just grossly unqualified for their jobs and add no value that any replacement legacy job applicant wouldn’t bring.

So stop saying “it’s DEI” like it’s a clever commentary on the situation. It’s not.

Poured my Dunkin into my travel mug like any other Monday morning, and I was treated to the unexpected scent of peach. Thankfully I looked before putting the lid on, and I saw a tea bag from last week floating in my coffee. Anyways, I'm drinking vaguely tea infused coffee at the office now

*me looking at the democrats refuse to listen to their voters, pretend everything was fine as the wealth divide between rich and poor grew with each passing day, lie through their teeth multiple times, and fund a genocide red and blue voters didn't support* "wow how could the voters do this."
