Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea season 4 being unapologetically delightful and I am here for it.
Repost with your first crush.
Bobby Ewing, always and forever. 💕
I haven’t! I need to add that to my list though. I only rewatched the first one after far too many years last year and fell in love with it. I don’t think I really got it when I saw it initially (during the initial theatrical run).
I got personal on Substack this week with some of the ups and downs with my relationship with movies as I’ve come to where I am today.
You had me at Lee Pace.
A still featuring Elizabeth Taylor's back and Montgomery Clift's head from the film A Place in the Sun from the Yale Film Archive Instagram. Above it is text that reads "Coming in September to @youmustrememberthis !"

My new favorite thing is seeing William Conrad briefly slip into his Rocky and Bullwinkle narrator voice during an episode of Cannon.
Three skeletons sit in a beautifully lit submarine set.
I have tripped and fallen down a rabbit hole watching season 4 of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.
I have no regrets.

Overheard on Tattletales: “Which of these women have a better chance of being happy? The woman of 25 married to a 55 year old man or a woman of 55 married to a 25 year old man?” “If I were a 55 year old man, I would be happier with a 25 year old lady than if I was a 25 year old man with a 55 year old lady… 30 years on a woman is a lot more than 30 years on a man” Michael Malone (dating Adrienne Barbeau).

Nicholas Hammond is still alive and acting and for some reason they’ve never given him a cameo in any of the Spider-Verse films. Seems rude to me.
As promised on here, my write-up on Lewis Pullman is live. Particularly, on his overlooked work in THE TESTAMENT OF ANN LEE which grew stronger on rewatch while highlighting arguably the story's biggest missed opportunity. Take a look!
Dorothy Provine was a delight.
Beautiful costumes… Miss Olay and Miss Maggie #TheGreatRace #tcmparty

My weekly Virginian deep dive let me talk so much Richard Carlson this week. How much longer before I get a Hugh Marlowe episode, I wonder?
“Would I be doing you quote gentlemen unquote an injustice if I surmised that the local zoo is missing two of its residents?”
William Conrad in Cannon (s4e5) with what be one of my favorite new quotable lines.

Holy miscasting Franchot Tone, Batman.
A delightful joy of a movie.
I am loath to do this, but I need your help. My 20+ year marriage has unexpectedly imploded. There's a kid involved. Aside from Lupus, Autism and a shitty 2009 Mazda, I have nothing. Things are fairly desperate right now, so if you can help out now in any way at all I'd be really grateful ❤️

Who had “beach buggy chase scene” on their bingo card?
I sure didn’t.

Overheard on Tattletales:
“They’re making a film about how you met and fell in love with your husband. Do you think that would be an interesting film the public would want to see?”
“Do they have X-rated documentaries?” -Becky Anderson (married to Bill Anderson)
Stop scrolling and post two characters who bring you happiness.
I’ve been deep into some completionist viewing and some day I would like an app that tracks performers in TV episodes like we get on Letterboxd.
My William Schallert tally would be so much higher 🤣
