as just a casual chess observer it has been intriguing to see this edition. I really wonder if Hikaru is gonna retire for real after this or if he'll play classical more seriously to try & get next candidates.
Monster performance by Sindarov though.

Oh I can tell this would have been really interesting to him, as my many lectures on Polish grammar by him are a testament to.
Also very cool usage of an LLM to port a library including testing against the original. Nice going!
Yup as the +1 of yours truly π
Arne is a good friend of ours. He's the only other person from outside of Poland (that I'm aware of) that was with me at both the wedding and the funeral.
Sad I couldn't make the 2nd edition.
Thank you! π
Oh, which project? π
Brian consistently does some of the cool OSS work where I was like "I should have done that"/"it's so cool he did that I've wanted this forever"
More than 8 months later, I finally managed to put some thoughts about the passing of my dear friend Piotr into a post. Grief is tough.

Hungary has chosen Europe.
Europe has always chosen Hungary.
A country reclaims its European path.
The Union grows stronger.
The few glorious people that just roll up and go "yeah, we want to sponsor Goatmire". I appreciate you.
I also appreciate the ones that are continuous conversation over many months but these folks make my life a lot easier.
On that note. Still room for sponsors :D

(and really great hair)
S-Tier meme potential though :)
nevermind me over here, I love gray hair but my hair falls out mostly instead of turning gray π
Let it groooow let it grooowwwwww can't hold me any more.... let it groooowwwwwwww
There are two thing I'm obligated to remind you of. The Tickets and the Call for Talkers.

Oh yeah, kickstarted and loved the first one until it turned from a personal "what happened to my friend" story to "we have to save the universe" :(
Yeah when they made the first Hades I doubted them because roguelites (which I love) are shit at story and story is one of super giants strong points. Couldn't imagine how they would revolutionize Story telling in roguelites.
@noclipvideo.bsky.social has documentaries about Bastion, Pyre and Transistor as well. All really a great watch.
The documentaries about super giant making games are a big part of why "game development" made it into my "methaphors are everywhere" talk π
I talk about supergiant most of the time.
I can highly recommend watch "Hades: Developing Hell" www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...
Absolutely phenomenal games that I love so much.
π―(although I'm just shortly before the end).
@supergiantgames.bsky.social is my favorite game studio ever.
I had already clocked more Hades 2 hours in EA than I did in 1... and the reason was so I could enjoy some new @darrenkorb.bsky.social soundtrack (along with an excellent game)
Probably the coolest aspect of preparing a talk or writing a blog post is distilling the concepts you have trapped in your head into an easily digestible format, greatly deepening your own understanding of said concepts.
I've never been known to reject free stuff!
Hang in there <3
+ I know I wanna go to goatmire and support it any which way anyhow :D
For real though, I'm a terrible procrastinator with submitting talks. I will submit one unless I forget about the deadline.
That said, I don't think I have high chances (repeat speaker is a higher burden to clear imo, esp. with single track/limited spots).
But yes, you'll see a couple from me
I dunno maan ask the program committee....
Go get 'em! Looking forward to this conference soooo much! πππππππππ

Dafaq? Backstory?
LLMs getting much better at pushing back against bullshit prompts.
βGreen means the model clearly called out the nonsense. Amber means partial challenge. Red means the model let nonsense passβ

Another milestone achieved: Gleam had its first conference!
Thank you, @crowdhailer.bsky.social and Laura, for organising the #GleamGathering 2026 and bringing together dozens of Gleamlins in one place π©·
