the two most recent are classic suppression of the press & using the justice system to attack political enemies

Is there a tally or list of how many ships have got through and how many might have paid a toll that you know of?

Speed running it now though! My son wanted to get into coding but I’m seriously considering it if I can recommend it.

Conversely I’m using AI daily and never been so productive. It’s a complicated juxtaposition to be in!

Programmer here this tracks for my industry too. I do use AI a lot and for me it’s great but I come with 30+ years of experience and 2am coding sessions to steer it when it goes off course. How can the next gen gain that? Seems short term gains for my gen in for long term dependencies on AI

Trump is demonstrating the importance of credibility in international relations.

He is not credible. He’s shown that others can’t trust what he says, and can’t act as if his stance will be the same tomorrow. He can’t communicate demands or make reliable offers. He made America’s word is worthless.

$1.60 added to every barrel. Needlessly. And that’s just the price for today. Nothing to stop them ramping it up at a wimp. Still small beans but still friction. Still a price passed on

Saw a bat today while out on a bike ride. Left them be and hope it was alright. A lovely privilege to see one this close up though!

Trump Action Tracker | Keeping a tally of Trump's actions Free and independent tracker documenting Trump-related actions using verified news sources. Statements & plans mapped to authoritarianism domains.

If there are any US constitution experts who'd like to volunteer to analyse the actions on the TrumpActionTracker from a constitutional perspective - please get in touch!

It's a big undertaking but I think would provide an important lens.

I am not an April fools person, not at all, but The Phoenix is the one exception. Every year they prank kids with a different ‘wrong’ magazine, and every year the dedication to the bit is outSTANDING 🫡

I think the Newt Grigrich era of gumming up the system started the desire to go for a dictator and hand over/neuter the power of congress willingly. Stop their plans getting gummed up some more (even by a handful of their own as was done with the speaker election). Just stunning the fall of a nation

Ok. My understanding of the electoral fraud situation is this.

1. Democracy volunteers put out a statement at one minute past poll close. They said this was at a level they’d not seen before

The UK Covid Inquiry has laid bare the avoidable horror of the second Covid wave It is becoming ever clearer both how devastating the second wave of winter 2020/21 was, and how much of that devastation could have been avoided.

I wrote about the findings from the inquiry about the impact of the pandemic on the NHS, and the mistakes of the first year.

I hope it makes you angry - it should make us all angry.

‘Britain is not a Christian country. This is not a radical ideological statement; it is a basic demographic fact.’

Preach it. Wisdom from my spiritual guru.
