Tom, Rich, and I made the tough decision to retire Fear of a Black Dragon. We're going to record a farewell episode, but then that will be the end of our 10-year project.

Varying reasons why, but it's mostly down to we've said what we wanted to say (and I've personally grown bored with the scene).

The postmortem of the *last* big outage shows that it was because they DOS'd themselves through vibecoded slop.

I think the only times I have done a session zero was for livestream games. Otherwise I include setting expectations as part of session one like safety tools, character creation, and explanation of basic mechanics. Some stuff like scheduling and the overview of the game can happen over text.

They will do math to track your posting down, which seems like a headache I wouldn't wish on anybody. I didn't realize *any* mention of my game, like "my game uses that mechanic" counts as "self-promo", so I was blocked on doing my Kickstarter campaign conclusion post there last year.
