I won't include all the text here, but the first paragraph of the right page reads: At the edge of the land, the waters rise. As the year turns, storms rage. Heat lingers, and rivers flood. Yet the soil welcomes us; and in time we encounter more of our kind, cousins who crossed the sea in time immemorial. We delight in a meeting of flowers. Our children grow strong, stronger than we ever were, stronger and more adaptable to the shifts and sways of the new world.

My newest zine, Ruins, collects seven illustrated pieces of speculative short fiction about the people and places left behind after the world has moved on. Even after disaster, life is well worth living. 🍃 #solarpunk #ecofiction
