I am grateful to all of you who are fighting the good fight, speaking truth to power, and engaging in the political battles of the day. They’re important and I appreciate you!

My Panasonic MSX2 with a Joy Card controller, and my Atari 130XE with 7800 controller, both on my wood tiled floor
(They're friends!)

A pair of U.K. scholars discovered the mislabeled document in Harvard Law School's digital archives. The university bought it for just $27.50 in 1946. It turned out to be an authentic copy dating to 1300.
Enough DDR5 to pay for a house
I feel like a million bucks
I vehemently disagree.

Wow that is really beautiful!
What's generating that almost bass line like backing instrument?
Also? Connecting brains and computers is morally fraught and I DO NOT TRUST him of all people to be ethical in this space.
@bcantrill.bsky.social I don't really see Twitter as the wretched hive of scum and villainy that you do, but it occurred to me today reading a thread over there on editors that it *is definitely* the right place to go for low to no effort garbage posts on technology....
That’s amazing! is this the basis for proprietary work or do you eventually plan to open source it?
personally, I think the animation is beautiful! Which C++ library are you using if you don’t mind me asking?
I am talking about writing client software. This doesn’t have to do with human customers. It has to do with the way I prefer to access social media.
I’m sorry I don’t speak Spanish. Also, do you mean Github?
HEY it looks like they did! That is awesome!

Has Bluesky reached that goal yet? I know they've been working on "true" decentralization but for a long time we still needed the Bluesky hub.
I'd love it to be true!
Please don't take it personally if I follow you and then see that your feed is 1000% politics and unfollow.
Politics are important. Speaking out is important. By all means you do you.
But my sanity demands that my politics buffer is kept reasonably small and the retention period is *short* :)
I think I might write a Bluesky client for the #CLI.
Something like what toot - github.com/ihabunek/toot has done for the Fediverse.
And I might at least initially try coding it in #rust.
@11thdwarf.bsky.social Hey thanks for the follow! Good to find other self hosting enthusiasts!
Been playing with Openclaw lately and that's been fun. Need to do a side project where I *don't* use AI to help keep my coding skills up :)
It's for *educational purposes* only - It's SLOW. The goal was to better understand how the machine works by emulating it in a high level programming language that's very easy to understand.

If you're wondering what on earth these instruments are, well, WONDER NO MORE!
The little translucent purple guy is a minichord, by creator Benjamin Poilve
It rules, and I did a deep dive with it here (including how I made that juicy case)

shoutout to minichord and e-taishō, gotta be one of my favourite combos 💮
I am not even a little bit surprised. Trying to explain what I did to my in-laws when I worked for AWS EFS was an epic undertaking.
my wife all but begged me to deflect because she knows her father will ask questions indefinitely if he fixate on understanding something :-)
This article is *so* good and as always very well written. I really love your work. Thank you for speaking truth to power in a moment when we need that more than ever!
The reporting on OpenAI and Sam Altman I've been working on for the past year and a half, for @newyorker.com, with Andrew Marantz: www.newyorker.com/magazine/202...
I caught my AI assistant Simplificus not paying attention to detail.
Hiya! What are you using it for? Are you mostly using stock skills? I've noticed, at least using Claude Sonnet 4.6, that it really mirrors the cliche about AI bein very iffy on the details.
Here's an example where I asked it to monitor my Goodreads feed, and caught it oops-ing:
The blur and translucence are beautiful in this one!

I don't know if there's a #retrocomputing scene on here, but I created a @neovim.io / Vim syntax for the #FastBASIC programming language for the #atari 8 bit line of computers.
