This is my 2^10th issue of the BAN, and also its 8th anniversary! To celebrate, I am deeply discounting paid subscriptions, and doing so in the most nerdalistic way I could think of: a month is $3.20 and a year is $32: each based on 2^5. :) Click through to see more and sign up!

Do you use Ingram Spark? I don’t like them either, but you can publish for free there and it should distribute to all the same places as D2D (forgive me if I’m saying stuff you already know…).
Glad I saw this post…so I can pull my stuff.
Sounds like to me they’re not supporting the business with enough sales so they’re coming for creator money.
😂
It’s a great versatility I would have never known about.
I’m really glad I had a close friend who loves audiobooks to offer me insight because I knew hardly anything other than, “I’ve got to enter that market.”
Sure thing! Nice handle by the way…
Sophie B was a young Truant’s hachiewawa 😂

I’ve had numerous audiobook lovers tell me adjusting the speed is key. Having produced a couple, both my narrators recorded slower than I wanted but explained it works for a better recording (clarity, etc.), and allows the listener to speed up if they want.
An American President threatening to end a civilization is not just anti-American, it’s flat out crazy.
In all seriousness, one thing that might be worth doing today:
Tell your Reps and Senators to call Adm. Richard Correll, the Commander of U.S. Strategic Command, which controls the nation's nukes, and remind him of *his* unique responsibility to refuse an illegal order.
For fuck’s fucking sake. Some of my best jokes are in prologues and epilogues. I’ve used prologues and/or unlabeled opening passages to set the tone for every book I’ve published.
Fools. A world of fools with trans-continental microphones in their hands.
What are you talking about?
This right here. When people say the dems have a "messaging problem"...sure, sometimes, but they also have the entire mainstream media ecosphere actively working against their messaging.
Refusing to cover stuff. Purposefully misrepresenting quotes. Writing “uh, but uh” articles on AOC…
Holy cows I feel strongly you coulda whipped up a trilogy, and a good one at that, and taken that deal…😂
@nytimes.com @nytimespr.bsky.social you have parody accounts dedicated to your decline in producing great journalism and the right wing hates you despite your pandering.
Came here to make AI joke and boy, late to the party…
Mine was about not being able to hear the impact 😞
Jack Dorsey who was one of the creators of this site and is a tech bro sociopath.
I feel your pain regarding what I get fed, but to be fair, this site was/is their site. I don’t care to see body posts but I’m a guest here. This site “belonged” to lgbtq, furries, sex workers etc etc before the grand migration. They ran off Jack. I will always love them for that.
No matter how many times I click “show me less of this” “hide post” “mute thread” they keep coming! 😂

The feelings he describes here resonate deeply with me…a want to say something but being mentally overwhelmed to the point of not being able to organize the thoughts and formulate words…and the sense that none of the words would matter.
This right here…this exactly.
Congrats!
Perfect skeet.
Telling that all these dudes see the worst aspect of future societies portrayed in films and books and are like, “yeah I want to make that happen.”
Just a bunch of rich geeks.
I already hated our existence on so many levels before 2016 and they’ve added so many more layers and I just want to drink and smoke myself to death in peace and these motherfuckers just ruin everything.
I wonder if they’re bunkering in because they continue to bet on their takeover of the country…
Good for @nbcnews.com helping to rehab this grifter. Great job. Outstanding work.
It’s funny and they have good chemistry.
This doesn’t mean I agree with their choice.
Only fair argument I can offer when I see stuff like this is that they are supposed to be representing their constituency. Thus, if they’re Dems from fairly conservative places, they’re representing their voters. It’s absolutely a political move when the nominee will advance anyway due to gop votes.
