Arcane has to be one of the best shows ever made, one of the first times I've seen a videogame adaptation transcend its source material and elevate it to a whole new level. Absolutely insane stuff

The idea is to have a narrative where the player is the protagonist, not playing as a protagonist but they are the protagonist. If I can pull it off I think it’ll be super cool.
Fully committed to this meta angle I’m working on. Going to make the player go to an “archive” socials page, a early 2000’s looking paranormal investigator website and potentially set up an e-mail autoreply bot to solve puzzles. I think it’ll be cool as hell if I can get it all working!
I think as soon as the mechanic is implemented in your game, and the mechanic's usage and dynamics change because of the new game it's put in. Realistically a mechanic is never going to feel the exact same in each game because of everything that surrounds it, even if it's lifted from something.
Been working on cleaning up a dialogue system in my horror game and streamlining it a bit, I want to be able to convey some emotion and intent through some subtle changes in text scrolling speed and text color.
