As someone who feels compelled to read what is written this definition really hits home for me. It goes into why I can't use AI inline coding suggestions. I type one letter and have 30 lines of code to read in order to determine it isn't doing what I was envisioning.

Very intrigued by this game after reading Digital Antiquarian's write-up of it. Particularly how the characters aren't static. Huge milestone for interactive fiction. www.filfre.net/2012/11/the-...
This is an excellent summary of the US War on Iran current situation.
I’m an existentialist and borderline absurdist and even I struggle with the current moment.
This summary is just fantastic.
Why from PhD programs at expensive colleges. That was they will be so deep in debt they will gladly work 70 hour weeks for decades.
I'm genuinely shocked I can't find a PC mouse shaped like a moose. I was certain I would find at least an image from the 90s branded with Rocky and Bullwinkle. But I'm only finding mouse pads.
Enjoy like it's 1992
Replace all references to Trump, the president, or America with God. Then replace all references to Iran, it's military, and it's people with the Devil. It reads like a Sunday sermon at most evangelical churches in America. That's why she said it. That's why it works for most of MAGA.
This is the big issue with AI and robotics. When we get completely driverless cars. Who is responsible? The owner riding in the back seat or the company that made it? It's the question that's going to make or break the industry.
This is one of the best explanations I have read in this post.
This sums up the Kansas trans license issue so well. It sums up any issue for trans-rights so well. Let them live their lives. That's all they want to do.
I'm interested in using the technology locally. But the attempt to replace employees and still expect reliable product is misguided.
I usually prefer Adam Curtis' earlier However, Hypernormalisation was a great documentary.
That's not just "inadequate guardrails". That's manufacturing a domestic terrorist.
What a great ad campaign for Linux!
Thanks for your work! I am saving this so I can come back to it as I build my Windows 95 machine. I hope it boosts our to my modest number of followers who love old tech.
I need to check out Ledbydonkeys on YouTube. This is brilliant
Want to say they need to see how much the insider tradig billionaires make off the Dow swings to figure out if they should keep going. But more likely what Congress is doing and how much push back there is from voters.
Basically free advertising for Anthropic to all of our ex-allies.
The US is facing a huge brain drain and debt increase. Which probably won't fully hit until a Democratic President is elected.
This is what the dialogue tool looks like in our Mermaid Mask Unity project. I write the script directly into these boxes, select facial expressions if it's for an examine box, as these are, and I include voice directions, since it later gets exported as a script for the voice actors
The fact that they make it so difficult to leave to a public comment is infuriating. Having to make an FCC account? I'm doing it anyway but it definitely feels like part of the strategy.
I'm sure their corporate and billionaire donors will hammer that out with the DNC's consultants any day now. /s
I can only imagine how bad this is going to get as LLM agents start writing blog posts. Each competing to make their agenda the most recent and thus "correct" answer. Read farther down the article to the interview with the SEO guy. With LLMs trust but verify!
I couldn't make it all the way through. I watch the people of Minneapolis push back on ICE and think we are moving ahead. This is a stark reminder that we are in a marathon not a sprint.
A samwho.dev/ping notification that reads: Would luv to see an article talking how you break down your topics to explain things so well
I actually touched on this a bit in overcommitted.dev/interactive-... but I’ll say it here too.
There’s no secret other than making sure I fully grasp the idea by tinkering with it first hand. I often learn new stuff through the process of simulating/visualising it in the browser.
This is a really cool visualization. Thanks for sharing the GitHub.
Also want to give a giant shoutout to @atprotocol.dev, who are not only supporting @ecosystemaction.com as hosts, but as crucial mentors who've been deeply involved in guiding and promoting the atproto community for so long.
Thank you @bmann.ca @knowtheory.net @ngerakines.me 🙏🏼
Wow. From dog-whistles to megaphones.
