Publishers need to realize gamers want to own their games and not be required by an online activation to play. If you’re afraid of piracy that much, maybe you should be asking why people are pirating your game and not paying for it.
It's absolutely insane that we live in a time where a publisher can announce that a game won't have DLC nor multiplayer and we still can't rely on the damn thing being playable offline with just the disc (IF it even gets a physical release). Looking at you, Ubisoft AC Black Flag.
