We can be morally outraged by an assassination and at the same time acknowledge that Charlie Kirk’s racism and misogyny were immoral. Whitewashing his behavior and beliefs betrays the collective by masking how we got to this place in America.

Political violence is always immoral and always counterproductive for a healthy democracy. It solves nothing. It only leads to further violence and ultimately enables scapegoating of vulnerable communities. Committing acts of violence against those who disagree with us helps no one.

Sorry she got so much grief, but I am glad Suarez handled it so gracefully. I know other drivers may not have. 100% NASCAR needs to come up with something to make these kinds of transitions a little easier for the new driver. Testing, practice,something other then "here you go, good luck."
