Cenk Uygur has been bad for years, but may as well tap the sign:
A nine seat contraction.
Fun fact: in an early version of my Philosophy of Antifascism, I tried to see if I could incorporate Weil, but it was too much. I’m looking forward to this.
Faschismatic.
I’m more interested in his activism during the Algerian War. He edited the bulletin of the Jeanson Network, Vérités Pour…
I have a lot of patience for non-orthodox Marxists and I’m interested in more of his party-group organizing stuff.
I don’t know if anything he wrote will undo those haha
this isn't subtle
Score one for philosophy, for once.
It's been a long time since I've read Badiou in depth, but I'm very tempted to review his political memoir, because it must be strewn with dialectical loose ends.

You do not, under any circumstances, have to hand it to Tucker Carlson
I wrote this summary of the criminalization of antifa. Labelling antifa as a terrorist group has major implications for repression of left-wing activism but doesn't seem to have much public support outside of the right-wing echo chamber.
This is a dangerous road to go down.
All this does is encourage extractive industry, settler land developers, & venture capitalists to make more noise and throw more tantrums in order to slow or halt Reconcilation in BC.
The sad part is, this probably won’t win more support for the NDP long term.
There is no way this ends well. This is the result of the vertical alliance strategy of partnering with the far-right in government. www.nytimes.com/2026/03/31/u...
When I was a young lad, I set out to write a paper on Earl Warren. Discovering that he was governor during Japanese internment was a moment in the development of my political consciousness. It took a while to really get it, but the kernel was there.
It’s truly amazing how a few years of the Warren court enabled such a tremendous faith in the Supreme Court that is entirely unwarranted.
You’re never going to combat the cruelty and the racism by uplifting the apparent ‘deserving’ (small business owners with green cards) and degrading the ‘undeserving’ (undocumented migrant workers)
As I a philosopher keep saying, existentialism is BACK and trendy
As an existentialist, I’m all for this.

Press Release from bc teacher union
The BC Teachers Federation, the province wide labour union representing over 40,000 teachers, has just passed a resolution in support of BDS!
The first province-wide motion to support BDS in solidarity with Palestine!!
I’m working on an essay that responds to recent editorials by Jason Stanley, and it has managed to spiral into a very long paper that hopefully will also make sense to readers.
No context 💯
Even for Alberta, this is dark.
Even supposedly labor-friendly provincial governments have spectacularly failed their post-secondary education systems.
These cuts are foolishly short sighted. Post-secondary across Canada needs more funding—and without conditions about “market needs” (looking at Ontario)—not less.
Whose got good anti-ICE / anti-fascist zines for teens and tweens? 👀
I stand by my previous joke.
