Oh god I accidentally killed another runner who was already downed and just trying to peacefully exfil with me. Right at the last second where I couldn't have even looted them if I wanted to. I feel SO bad. #marathon

Tale as old as time but usually it's more like 3 surviving members ๐
This may be the most impressive tabletop gameplay video ever made. I can't believe they pulled this off. Bravo @commandcast.bsky.social
Didn't mind it! I think the way it played out was pretty mid though. The ideal would be every pair having a big target and a poor victim arguing desperately that the target they're tethered to isn't the right one. Instead we got a pretty straightforward X or Y vote before the tribal hijinx.
Have an awesome trip! I still gotta send you some favorites from Kyoto and Osaka
Wow so that's what tvs were like in 2019
Hell yeah. Love this show but the biggest fright throughout has been that it would get canceled without conclusion
So many fewer stupid deaths to bots in my future ๐ฅณ
Wow I would've lost that bet too
yeah man i'll circle back to you on that agenda item from yesterday's all hands in just a sec. our pedophile king just threatened to destroy a whole civilization
I did not expect to be crying that hard at a Survivor tribal council. As a fan since season one when I was a kid that bit really hit me.
The amount of AI-generated April Fool's emails and posts in the board game space this year is a bummer. I'm looking at you, BGA, Sagrada, and others

The Trip To Japan Effect
Thirteen episodes to eliminate 21 players (assuming a final three and not like a final seven or something). I fear a The- Challenge-style "purge" at some point!
Also I was 10 feet from Shigeru Miyamoto as he gave a short speech about Mario's 40th anniversary. I was fanboying over him way more than the actors. Childhood me would have lost his mind to know I'd see Miyamoto in Japan someday.
Panorama shot of the decorated theater for the Super Mario Galaxy Movie premiere in Kyoto
A giant Luma. No, bigger than that. Really big.
The theater has never looked better

One more cat lounging in the passenger seat.
First time in Japan and my cab from the airport had three cats in it. I'm told this is not common here but still felt like a good way to kick off the trip.
Love acrylic tokens, hate the film. Nothing makes me feel the physical effects of anxiousness quite like trying and failing to pick at those with my fingernails.
The Japan trip part is not sudden but the tickets were just now obtained by my husband ๐คฉ
Mario riding yoshi on the stars with the text "let's-a-go!"
So suddenly I'm going to the Super Mario Galaxy premiere in Kyoto next week?!
Duel by tea party is how scores are settled in Wonderland apparently, and @neilan.bsky.social joined me for a first bout. Here our first playthrough of Madcala: A Wonderland's War Game by @druidcitygames.bsky.social!
Here on the eve of the release of Chapter 2 of the Arkham LCG... I'm not going to buy it. $200 for the core and investigator decks, just for tons of reprints and rehashes and no interesting campaign to play, just doesn't make sense to me. I'll reconsider when we see more of the next campaign box.
This is sad! At its core I thought this was a pretty fun and unique game in the CCG space. Its art style and flavor never did much for me though and I couldn't be bothered to interact with its online tools. I would love to see one or two more recent games besides just FAB really take off though.
Kat ran a great campaign in a crowded district and nearly pulled it off. I know she's going to continue doing great things, for Illinois and the rest of the country.
Yeah the A/B testing can be mildly annoying for sure. Distraction Makers had a vid last week that appeared for me as "Was Slay The Spire 2 Worth the Wait?" and "Slay the Spire 2 is Amazing!" on different devices and it took me a minute to realize they hadn't done two videos.
