We were a Ratchet & Clank household, and this track still randomly pops into my head whenever it likes: youtu.be/hGyP1dWj4OY?...

Hope it's a nice birthday :¬)
(It seems to have updated fine after going into Recovery Mode)
@play.date
Sorry, but just in case there's a widespread issue, my Playdate just pulled an update (3.0.5, I think) from the server, tried to update (from the latest firmware) and failed into Error e2. Just retrying after going into Recovery Mode, but all seemed fine while recovering.
For talking about industry and dev changes over the long-term, maybe it'd be cool to talk to someone like Dylan Cuthbert, Giles Goddard, one of the Playtonic co-founders or Shuhei Yoshida. Nick Suttner would probably also have a lot to say between pub and dev, or one of the other Eggplant hosts.
If I were to watch the film, I'd be insufferable to everyone within a 10m radius. I'll just continue to mildly complain from a distance that this adaptation marketing trend exists, while accepting that people like this stuff and it makes them happy. I just want more people to play some SMB3, man...
Treasure fan mindset
Gotcha - makes sense. Hope you're having a good one, anyway :¬)
I don't know whether Steam's policies allow for pointing elsewhere for donations (someone more knowledgeable may know). If not, you could handle it with a "supporter pack" DLC for each game, as a fixed, optional donation (maybe containing wallpapers, music files, or notes/assets from development)?
Getting pretty worn-down by seeing whether I feel the same way in the morning and the answer being "yes."
Have a super good time :¬)
I had a good time with the retrofitted pointer controls in Metroid Prime Trilogy and the Wii version of Pikmin. Also, as a 3D enjoyer, Star Fox 64 3D is super cool for my eyeballs.
Very much in the same boat, so I hope you're doing alright, Liam. Hope you're able to have some nice walks, see cool places and draw some energy from the world while the gears aren't turning.
Maybe subscribers to each person wonder as to why someone they aren't subbed to has appeared in their sub box, such that they don't feel 100% welcome to people...? Or it could be a thing of some not noticing that it's even a collaboration, since the channel label gets extended beyond capacity...?
Oh, man, those colours - they look great
I have no insight as to what's more successful (I'd assume making a page sooner is better on that front), but it feels right to me to nail-down a core first and then focus the Steam page on getting that core across
Oh yeah, I think I read a shmuplations translation about that. Take me back (I keep being reminded that I was born in the wrong time...)
Ah, I just looked and Geograph Seal was apparently released in '94, a year after Star Fox. Looks beautiful, though (and love that UI). Still have yet to play any of the Jumping Flash games, and now I want to play this, too 👀
One core thing that annoys me is the idea of making a financial profit on a used game, as though the profit didn't come from the experience of playing the game. Already pricey games just keep getting pricier because people think they deserve to get more than they paid...
It looks nice, but I feel like the sharp, stark contrast without DOF is one of the strengths of Nechromia's visual style
It's feeling like I'm watching my life through a window
Is this Wings Part III?
Super good game, and looks ridiculously nice. It's pretty nuts that Tengo Project exists as a team that's releasing games in the current industry climate. I really appreciate how much they mechanically differentiated the characters, too, especially the other unlockable one 👀
Man, I like that they put the time into animating (sometimes just about) pretty much nothing happening, and then just hang on a sign for a bit.
Big "we have to make 30s of animation last for 1m30s of music" vibes
The song's cool, but as someone who's watched far fewer anime series than I'd like, the lingering static shots are throwing me way off (giving me more ending energy than opening). I assume it was for money reasons, but have you seen it in other anime openings?
In the Valley of Gods will never leave my Steam wishlist (though I do hear that Half Life: Alyx game is pretty tasty...)
Ah, I was just thinking that I should finally play MotorStorm yesterday (since I've been in a bit of a rally mood). Maybe today's the day ;¬)
From the VGC article "Ubisoft details ‘major company reset’: 6 games canned, 7 delayed, and 2 studios closed": CH2, dedicated to “competitive and cooperative shooter experiences”, including The Division, Ghost Recon, and Splinter Cell. CH3, which will operate a roster of “select, sharp Live experiences”, such as For Honor, The Crew, Riders Republic, Brawlhalla, and Skull & Bones. CH4, which will focus on fantasy worlds and narrative-driven universes like Anno, Might & Magic, Rayman, Prince of Persia, and Beyond Good & Evil. CH5, which Ubisoft says is aimed at “reclaiming [our] position in casual and family-friendly games” in brands including Just Dance, Uno, and Hasbro.
I think they have it listed as something handled by the "Creative House" dedicated to their smaller brands. Seems like they're giving up on it as a massive thing, but still holding onto it for possible smaller projects (like RPoP and TLC), albeit alongside other series without much recent love...
I just gave it a read, and it was a cool write-up (especially since the Intellivision and its era are blind spots for me). Sucks that your time with DF is up (from the outside, I thought it'd be a long-term thing), but best wishes for what comes next. Nice work with the site, in general.
