I walked around Harris Teeter for 15 minutes unknowingly wearing this name tag. I got a standing ovation in the deli. 😅

Looking forward to being in Bethel, N.C. this coming Saturday! President Washington was in that area at this time in 1791.

President Washington arrived in Tarboro on April 18, 1791. GW said he received as good a salute as one can get from a single cannon. 😉

Looking forward to being in Bethel, N.C. on April 25! I love to share the story of President Washington's 1791 Southern Tour!

Malone's comments about Hubert Davis were an absolute masterclass in how to address a situation like this. Classy and spoken with the experience of someone who has been on the other side of being fired. Just more proof that he "gets it".

If you’re a Republican member of Congress sitting in your hands as the President repeatedly threatens to commit war crimes, you’re responsible for the outcome.

It’s on you.

I’ve been utterly stunned this week to learn I’m apparently surrounded by people who don’t believe we landed on the moon. Not in a joking way. They actually don’t believe it happened.

We are DOOMED.

Seemingly, this launch and mission is something for all Americans to rally 'round. 👍😊

Cursive is useful. It isn’t calligraphy (I wish my handwriting was that nice), but it is the quickest way to handwrite notes, makes signing documents more official and gives you the skill of being able to read old historical documents by people who used it. Giving kids skills is a good thing.

I enjoy the solitude and the history at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church in Pittsboro, N.C. North Carolina Governor Owen is buried here. I visited his grave, and I'm happy that he didn't ask for a campaign contribution. 🙂

We don't always have one another's cell phone #, but the social security # is usually handy. 🤔😉

I guess that's a black rat snake and not a black racer. I've encountered many black rat snakes and most of them are "chill," but I met up with a black racer at our front door a few years ago and it acted like a cobra when I tried to shoo it with a broom--and then it took off like lightning.

It seems almost pointless to note that if Obama wore a baseball cap in this situation he would have been absolutely pummeled in the media, from Fox to NYT, but I'm going to do it anyway.

I've really enjoyed listening to lectures on Yale Open Courses today by @jbf1755.bsky.social on Thos Paine's "Common Sense," and on the Declaration of Independence! I'm writing an article on NC's signers. Thanks, Professor!

In the wake of former Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's arrest and the U.K.'s serious investigation into the Epstein files, I hereby revoke America's independence and demand a return to the control of the more reasonable and just British monarchy. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

One of Trump's powers is that, unlike every other modern president, there is simply no expectation that he will act like a sane, adult human being. Expectations are nil, therefore he gets away with everything.

If Obama, Bush, Clinton, etc. talked like Trump it would be instant 25th Am time.
