It’s so strange to me how much of metal/hardcore fandom is also cosplay lol.

The majority of hardcore fans today would have beat me and my hesher friends up in high school.

This has nothing to do with the Scowl stuff that was blowing up on Twitter. Nothing but love for that band and their success. Mostly just an observation. I feel a huge disconnect at hardcore shows compared to being at a metal show.

I think I’m safe on this app for this take…but does anyone else love hardcore but think it’s got the corniest fan base? Seems like it’s just full of a bunch of try hard cool guys. I know it’s counter productive to talk shit. But we’re all thinking it. Maybe It’s just me 🤷‍♀️
