We managed one last experience before our flight out today. Teamlabs has several exhibits in the area & we saw their Borderless exhibit this morning.

It was neat getting to wander inside Kiki’s home & see her room upstairs.
The final area in the park was dedicated to My Neighbor Totoro with being able to visit Satsuki & Mei’s home.

The next big area of Ghibli Park was the Valley of Witches, which had a mishmash of themes from Kiki’s Delivery Service & Howl’s Moving Castle.

After finishing the Grand Warehouse we went to the outside themed areas starting with Hill of Youth set around Whisper of the Heart & Cat Returns. They had a small area for Mononoke Village as we made our rounds in the park.

There were some amazing exhibits with one section made to let people play out in scenes directly from several Ghibli films including: Pom Poco & Castle in the Sky.

Unlike the Ghibli museum, the Cat Bus here was sized for all ages to fit inside. They had a run down Laputa guardian still rooted in the walls like in the film.

There was a real warehouse section that had a lot of items from former projects & promotional material on display.

Got to feel smol in the area themed after Arietty. I rather enjoyed that & appreciated all the attention to detail that the entire park cared to make you feel like you were in the worlds of each Ghibli film.

For the final adventure of our trip, @ralkor.bsky.social & i made our way out to Ghibli Park in Nagoya. An early morning ride on the Shinkansen & a bus interchange got us to the park grounds. The park made use of the former Olympic park with the additional theming surrounding Ghibli films.

One of the cute things we saw at the sushi restaurant was an original diorama themed from Zootopia 2.

Wandering around in Akihabara yesterday & got to enjoy one of the viral food trends in Tokyo, the fried sando. Also Starbucks is celebrating 30 years of operating in Japan & they have a limited time melon themed frappe.
By their powers combined! (Now they need to do the fusion dance! 😉)
This was a first time for us. It was nice to see the history of this particular tram service & the views we saw from the observation tower were amazing! 😻
The Symphony of Lights ended with a magnificent drone show over Victoria Harbor. Really loved the dragon that came to life in the sky. 🐉

That evening we went to the harbor for their Symphony of Lights that they put on every night. We got on an authentic looking boat & set out along the harbor to watch the skyline light up & dance to music.

We got to see one of the older (more rickety) cars they used in the past. On our way back we also saw some fun displays.

On our final day in Hong Kong, @ralkor.bsky.social & i made a trek up to the Victoria peak via their tram car to an observation tower overlooking Hong Kong.

After lunch we made our way to the Tian Tan “Giant” Buddha on Lantau Island. We took the crystal cable car & were treated to some amazing views while on our way to & from the Ngong Ping Village area.
