They had to suffer through years of hate without flinching, trying to preserve whatever social connections the others were actively destroying. I think it’s time to acknowledge they were the actual strong people, no matter what the haters and extremists still say in their propaganda

When confronted with hate, many people have tried to be kind, patient, tolerant, they tried to educate. I don’t blame them: they were raised like that, they were in shock, they still had hope to change the bullies minds, the hate came from their family, friends, etc.

Seeing how they cry when they lose their echo chamber and are told they are intolerant bullies, I genuinely think haters might hold less power today if people who disagree with them had told them in the last few years.
