Ma's wisteria flowered and grew 3 or 4 bean pods last year. She just left them on the plant, dangling all over winter, but, a few weeks ago, as Spring sprung and we started to warm up, they all exploded with a bang (well, more of a pop) and she found SEEDS (beans? Peas? 🫛 ?) over the footpath... so she planted them. 14 so far. 1 has been munched by a slug 😠 3 ... DRUM ROLL... have germinated and have sprouted! But who will get to them first? Ma or Slug? Who's fastest?! By the way, a wisteria bean pod is really VELVETY!!! And faek, greyish PURPLE! NOTHING like a green, rubbery runner bean! She kept it 'cos she was so surprised 😆 Pa may have composted it though 🤔
