And it *does* cost you. The actual prices of other platforms add up, and they're prohibitive for a lot of people who are just doing okay in terms of subscribers. Unless you're doing super well or not at all, the money adds up.
Trying to be ethical is tough. It does require sacrifices. But the endless lecturing that pretends there is no sacrifice to be made helps nobody.
