I hope it's all worthwhile in the end and you get the answers you need!

I get that a gas mask look will be even more conspicuous & may not be feasible. But since N95s don't fully protect from gasses, it's still be best to limit time outside because it'll still get to you after a while. Hope you stay safe and well, and that the fires are out soon!!

I'm glad you're protecting yourself--it's so important! Take it from am L.A. resident: N95 masks will help a lot with smoke & particles, but if lots of structures & cars are burning the best way to be protected from those chemicals & VOCs is reusable half respirator w/magenta cartridges.

Didn't they also push the season finale to summer because of the final battle scene at the school?

Nour has been on here for the past few years. She just had her baby and needs support if you can afford to support.

It’s been a years-long wake up call to me to understand that a lot of people who want the branding of being ethical and leftist are prepared to make endless exceptions for things they want to do.

Unfortunately I just have a box unit installed in my living room wall that is too noisy to use unless it's dire, and nothing in my bedroom. And lots of folks on the coast side of the city don't have anything at all. LA landlords proudly doing the bare minimum.

Los Angeles has been in a brutal heat wave all week. How can I celebrate spring arriving when the weather says it's August?! The discomfort is a 2-for-1 deal, as I get to swelter AND experience climate dread 🌞

I've always loved TV more than movies, because if the characters and world are worth investing in, I want as much time as possible. I did love the theatrical experience of movies, but now that movie theaters are $$$ and a likely way to contract a life-altering illness, I sadly don't watch many films

With this as our winter, I'm really dreading our spring and summer this year 😬

The real fun is when the original price tag is still on the item and the Goodwill price tag is several dollars more.

Bad Internet Bills All of the bad internet bills. One website.

THREAD: Whenever imperialist governments go to war, they become more authoritarian at home.

That makes censorship bills like KOSA, ID checks, and attacks on Section 230 even more dangerous.

Online protest, documenting war crimes, even news articles could be suppressed.

If you have the means, please donate to the Trans Continental Pipeline right now. They are a Colorado based org that helps trans people relocate and they are overwhelmed with requests. Colorado borders Kansas, and TCP has the infrastructure to help get people out.

Save Wonderfalls: Join the Movement to Preserve a Hidden Gem

We devoted few! Were you also part of the Operation Haverchuck-style website that appealed the cancellation? SaveWonderfalls.com, I think it was. Might have been another one too. I still don't understand how the show hasn't been packaged with the other Fullerverse shows for streaming. Music rights?

I was one of the 15 people who watched Wonderfalls when it aired, & it was EVERYTHING to me. The world and premise were so unusual and fun. Creative writing and direction. Excellent performances from absolutely everyone. A show about human connection & how our smallest acts can effect others' lives.

I'm seeing a trend of people beginning to hate/give up on social media & the internet in general. I'm asking you to consider that it's by design bc we get so much collective power here, too.

One of the things in The Files is how they turned many of these spaces into right-wing cesspools on purpose.

I haven't watched the doc yet, but I just watched Shandi's season for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I am sick to have my fears confirmed. Hearing about all the shirking of responsibility, I'm not sure whether I'll end up watching the doc at all. Is it worth it, or is it basically PR?

JANE AUSTEN'S PERIOD DRAMA / 2026 Oscar®-Nominated Short Film YouTube video by JULIA AKS

If you're a fan of Austen adaptations, do yourself a 12-minute favor and check out my friend Julia's hilarious, Oscar-nominated short "Jane Austen's Period Drama." Emma Thompson loved it so much she is now credited as its Executive Menstrual Advisor.

Anti-Semitism linked to “Zio” can be traced back to the late 1980s, according a 2006 Philologos column in Mosaic magazine, when a student at SUNY Binghamton scrawled “Zionazi racist” and “Kill Kikes” near the campus’ Jewish Student Union — on the 50th anniversary of Kristallnacht.

“Zio,” however, didn’t become a common anti-Semitic slur until Duke made it famous over the past decade. A search of Duke’s radio archives reveals that “Zio” has been used 359 times in episode descriptions since January 2012, with 17 mentions in 2017. A search of “Zio” on Duke’s website yields 264 pages of results since 2002.

Following the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in December 2012, Duke posted that “lead bullets are not murderers. The real murders are not the bullets, but the Bullies of the Zio Media …. Guns did not create the horror in that little school in Sandy Hook, Connecticut. The Zio masters of the media did. They have devoured the real America. The masters of the media continue to take us down the path of human depravity.”

this has come up in my life a few times this week so figured everyone may benefit from a reminder that the abbreviation z-i-o was popularized by david duke; you can surely make your point without vernacular coined by him and similarly hateful duke-types.
