Lovely day at the Mall of America with Christi today. We saw the Mario Galaxy movie, went to a bunch of Japanese/anime stores, and bought Yet More Plushies. I am very tired but I am fulfilled.

Seen at Toys r Us at Mall of America. I can never escape these girls.

Additionally, only player 1 is able to select Mic Vocals. I don’t know if it’s because my Xbox considers the mic only usable by the player 1 account. But it was kinda inconvenient. And tinkering around with it seemed like a hassle. We just swapped controllers when she wanted to sing.

Christi and I played some Fortnite Festival together in person last night, including with Mic Vocals. Couple quirks. First, if the vocals have a break, the break timer takes up space on the non-vocal highway. Not impossible to see but very annoying.

I’d likely go for the Les Paul multi platform since I primarily play Fortnite on Xbox Series X and sometimes PC. But the SG looks beautiful.

I am hopeful! Though sadly a while ago the tool I used to make my Wii GH3 controller work with Festival on PC seemed to stop working. I really should get a CRKD guitar later this year, those things look amazing.

I’m also absolutely singing I Believe In A Thing Called Love tomorrow. Falsetto and everything.

I have a Wii Rock Band 1 drum kit and a Wii Band Hero drum kit (with a control module that may not even work anymore, I haven’t tested it in a while), and I don’t think I’d be able to use either for Fortnite Festival Pro Drums. But I’m still really glad it’s finally coming to the game.

I think Scooter knows I’m leaving to visit my girlfriend in a couple of days. He is extra clingy, and normally he’s only slightly clingy.

Apparently I haven’t taken any days off work since December 29th. And the last holiday I had would’ve been New Year’s. No wonder I’ve felt so burnt out at work.

My vacation starts Thursday and I am so ready.

Next week I’ll be at a convention with Christi. A small local con, but still something. We’ve met up at a few MAGfests in the past, but this will be our first con together as a couple. It’ll also be her first convention since 2022. So we are really excited to go.
