It upsets me sometimes how this fandom has a tendency to have negative reactions to people's art based on what they like and find hot. Artists should feel comfortable and satisfied making what they want without needing to think or care about what's popular.

I don't think it's an empathy issue...I feel for people and I feel sad for them when they're sad, but I struggle a lot to tell if the words coming from my mouth will make people angry.

Like sometimes I feel wholly incapable of telling just what emotions my words will illicit and I don't know how to get better at it...
